I actually bought a 2014 for my sister's first car as well, I loved it so much!! It is the second cheapest car in America, next to the Nissan Versa, but when you factor in that automatic transmission and A/C are options you have to add to the versa, they are about the same BUT with the spark you get: 4 doors, surprisingly roomy backseat (yes, comfortable even for a teenager or adult), 35 mpg combined (I spend about half time highway and half city). With the LT trim, which adds a couple of thousand to the sticker price, you also get heated seats, a display screen that connects to your phone and certain apps, such as Pandora, leather seats (!), and a few other minor upgrades. The display screen and the heated leather seats are so worth it.
great small car!

I commute 80-100 miles each day so I need a gas mileage star and the Spark fits the bill. I've had small cars nearly all my driving life and this is my favorite so far!
Very fun and affordable car! Love it!

Absolutely it is ideal for a person in a budget but with a social life that requires 4 doors to be with friends or that has a child and two doors just won't do. The car is very inexpensive to maintain (gas, oil changes, tires). It's definitely a fun car to drive.
There’s something about a car that goes vroom that can’t be beat. When you’re sitting behind the wheel of a powerful car, your heart races and your mind wanders to all the places you can go. There are plenty of used cars out there that deliver high horsepower for low prices.
