2009 Chevy Suburban

I recently purchased a 2009 Suburban LT with low miles. Overall, the car is great. The city gas millage is slightly lower than my previous 2001 Nissan Xterra, but the highway millage is better, even though the suburban is much larger. The interior space is nice;however the ability to move/adjust the rear and third row seats forward/backwards would be nice. It is bit cramped on foot room when hauling all the kids around. As you would expect for a vehicle of this size, backing up can be tricky. I recommend a rear view camera and a backup alarm. The vehicle is a dream to drive on the highway. Very smooth and comfortable for its size and truck like stance. I had many needs and wanted one vehicle that could meet them all and the Suburban was the best choice. I needed room to carry at least 6 people and sometimes more, I needed more cargo space than our minivan, I needed to be able to two up to 8000 pounds, I needed 4WD, and reasonable gas millage.

Great vehicle!

Picked up a 2007 Suburban recently and have been pleased with it every since. Cargo room is fantastic, comfort is exceptional, ride quality is great. It only has 29K miles on it so it's too young to have major issues, but all in all, I'm very pleased with my purchase. I realize that there are die hard Chevy fans and die hard Ford fans. Prior to my purchase, I drove both and found that the Suburban felt more sturdy than the Expedition EL. All around comfort and drivability felt better with the Suburban. Interior features and layout seemed more elegant in the Chevy. I'm not one for fancy, so the Chevy was exactly what I was looking for. Honestly, the LT trimline is quite attractive inside, considering it's the "middle" trimline. My only complaint is the lack of storage compartments in the rear cargo area. Would be nice to have deep bins or something back there built into the sides. In the end, for what I wanted / needed, the Suburban was perfect. The other models I tested did not feel as well built and sturdy as the Suburban. Might just be me, but I think the Suburban is the better choice.

Good truck

Good truck, it fits a 4x8 sheets of sheet rock or plywood if you need to haul that sometimes, It drove pretty well in the sand in 4x4 but I did notice it was running a little hot when conditions were tough though. Pretty roomy and rides smooth with some off road tires.
