Enough room for a growing family!

I would recommend for anyone who needs room for extra people/kids and wants it to be comfortable at the same time with room for bags or just other stuff. Even with people in the very back there is still room for some good sized luggage bags. Also, for my family of 5 (2 tall growing kids age 10 and 7 plus a 5 year old with a booster seat) I can still fit all three kids in the middle row and put our German Shepherd in the very back for those kind of family trips.

Pros

  • Fuel Economy: I commute in my Flex about 80 miles a day. It does great on gas for a large vehicle. I'll fill up on a Sunday and not need another fill up till Thursday.
  • Cargo Space: It fits a lot! I like the little door spaces too as well as little secret compartments in the back for my kids to put their stuff in.
  • Technology and Entertainment: I like the Sirius radio, hands free phone options, car system info that I can keep up with while driving, and the rear camera safety feature because it makes it easy to drive such a long car.

Cons

  • Ride and Handling: It can be a bit squirrelly when you have to give it power and it quickly corrects...I attributed it to me needing to adjust to front wheel drive and the car being longer than I'm used to. Still learning it as I'm only like 5months in.

What a Great Car!

We bought this car because we are moving to Mexico and plan to do a lot of traveling. We wanted a roomy and comfortable road car with plenty of room for two very big dogs and all the usual stuff. We looked at all the larger SUVs and nothing compares to the Flex for space versatility and design. It drives beautifully. And, with the rear and side sensors and back-up camera, it's easy to park and there are no functional blind-spots. I think the Ford Flex is a largely undiscovered gem. If you are looking for a roomy and easy-going car, check out the Flex.

Pros

  • Interior Space: Big and flexible inside, a lot like the '60s station wagons I grew up with.
  • Styling: OK, the Flex isn't to everyone's taste, but I think it looks great.
  • Ride and Handling: This is a smooth and comfortable car with a friendly personality and, for a car its size, easy and predictable handling.

Cons

  • Technology and Entertainment: The Sync with MyFord Touch system is a little anti-intuitive and takes some getting used to.

Great long distance ride

The ease of entry and exit from the Flex is the best I've experienced. I'm 5'11" and I just slide in and out. It is very comfortable with the large seats and I don't experience the fatigue on long distance drives that I did with my previous vehicles. The head room is more than ample so for a tall person should give this vehicle a look. I also love the the flexibility of the seat configurations depending on my need at the time.

Pros

  • Ride and Handling:
  • Interior Space:
  • Cargo Space:
