don't buy a minivan, buy a Flex.

We purchased our Ford Flex about two months agao and could NOT be happier. It's an incredibly smooth ride with an amazing amount of space, and for the price, you can't beat it. My wife and I were adament about not owning a minivan, and this was a fantastic solution for us. The cargo space in the back is more than ample, and the room in the interior is very comfortable. I'm 6'2, and I'm as comfortable driving this as I am in my full size pickup truck. My wife is 5'3 and can handle the size of this vehicle with complete ease with just a few minor adjustments to the seat. They Sync system is an amazing piece of technology and we've just begin to use it to its full potential. Oh, and in a period of rising gas prices, we've consistently achieved between 19-22 MPG. Coming from a Highlander with a very small engine that achieved similar results, we are please to have the extra horsepower while not sacrificing efficiency. We would recommend this vehicle to everyone and having now driven our Flex for 2 months, we couldn't be happier.

2011 Flex

Pros: good ride, good power, lots of room, flexible seating, good gas milage Cons: rattles, noisy tires/suspension, torque-steer I do like my Flex - I like the way it drives, with more than adequate power and a good ride for a large heavy SUV. I enjoy relatively good gas milage (20 around town, 25 highway), considering this is a large, heavy, square vehicle. Visibility is good, seats are supportive and comfortable, climate control works very well without being intrusive. It does have a couple of irritating rattles at low speeds, which I have not been able to isolate thus far. The OEM tires seem to be very "hard" and very noisy on most road surfaces. There is a low-speed hum from either the transmission or one of the front axle bearings that will no doubt require repair or replacement at some future point. With all that, I am very pleased with the Flex - it's a great family hauler and a viable substitute for the standard "soccer-mom" minivan.

Funky style, great SUV

Everyone looking for a roomy, sporty, powerful, and fun to drive SUV needs to give the Ford Flex a test drive. We looked at many different SUV's, many with almost twice the price and our Flex was the clear winner. We decided on the Limited, AWD, with ecoboost engine and it has not disappointed. We live in the foothills and the Flex never loses power on the steepest of hills, wet, slick, snowy weather, not a problem! Room for kids, dogs, friends and luggage, as well as a comfortable spacious interior. Why the Ford Flex is not the best selling 7 passenger SUV is a mystery to me! Give one a test drive today and you will be sold!
