Terrible car for the price

Extensive transmission issues Extended 100k or 10 year warrentee that wasn't disclosed at the time of the sale due to tranmiission issues Autocheck History Report shows that it was taken to the dealer prior to my sale for routine service ie. recommended maintenance performed, transmission serviced but in review of the dealer specific maintenance actions shows that the transmission was rebuilt on one of those tranmission services. I have had the car since the end of July 2018 and had ongoing transmission issues. Do not buy a Ford Focus.

  • Fuel Economy: Saves money when I am not dumping it into the tranmission

  • Cost to Maintain: Money spent on tranmission issue after the 30 day warrentee and after I find out about the 10 year transmission warrentee

loved the look of the focus!

Had a lot of problems with this car, transmission was slipping and to replace the clutch plate in it. The brakes were bad. But Car max was awesome about the whole thing I told them I wasn't happy with the car and didn't want to wait for the part to come in they offered to let me choose a diffrent car but j just decided to give it back this was after 30 days of having the car felt very thankful I went through car max and besides having issues with my car it was a very good experience. I will be going to car max for my next car! Always recommend them!

  • Dashboard: Looked very nice ( my favorite part of the car)
  • Fuel Economy: Did really good on gas, 28 miles to the gallon
  • Cargo Space: Big trunk

  • Braking: Would pull when stop and would grind
  • Ride and Handling: Transmission would slip and very rough when you first took off.
  • Power: Since transmission was slipping the take off wasn't as fast as I thought it would be

Beautiful car, not a quality car.

I bought this car in March, and within the first few weeks it had to have the board changed. Then I got it back, and had to send it in again because the transmission was going out. Then I got it back, and now the battery is completely dead. But, it’s not covered under the carmax plan I pay for every month, so I have to pay an extra several hundred dollars.

  • Interior Space: The car itself is beautiful, and everything I could ask for looks wise.
  • Seat Comfort: Very comfortable even though I only drove it for a total of about 1500 miles
  • Cargo Space: lots of interior storage

  • Cost to Maintain: Things seem to go out on this car every month
  • Reliability:
  • Value:
