About the 2017 Ford Focus

Vehicle Summary

The Ford Focus originally came out as a replacement for the Escort as Ford's offering in the compact car class. The 2017 Focus has a sporty design backed up with commendable handling, making it a practical car that also turns heads on the road.

The front-wheel drive 2017 Ford Focus is available for sale as a hatchback or sedan in a variety of trim levels. Horsepower ranges from 123 in the turbocharged three-cylinder EcoBoost engine in the SE, and up to 350 hp.

Standard features shared across the 2017 trim levels include Ford's new and easier-to use Sync 3 system with a 6.5-inch touchscreen, anti-lock brakes (the base S model comes with rear drums, while the other trims have disc brakes all round), traction and stability control, and front and side curtain airbags. There's also a rearview camera and Ford's MyKey system that gives you some control over secondary drivers.

Fuel economy figures are based on EPA estimates when vehicles sold as new. Fuel economy may vary for reasons like driving conditions and vehicle history. Unless specified, figures are for vehicles equipped with an automatic transmission. See fueleconomy.gov for details.

Its not bad

I didnt know this was a compact car. Its great on gas really depending how you drive. My gas last me a week and a half. Its kind of slow in accelerating. And the back is not very spacious at all for people. A person that an average height for 5ft 6 is enough to almost get their head hit. Not really enough leg room for the back if someone in the front passenger seat is sitting in front of them.

Pros

Cons

Love this car with a passion! but…

i love this car SO much. but after only having 64000 miles the motor blew up on me. but after being replaced i would still 10:10 recommend

Pros

  • Fuel Economy: it gets the BEST gas mileage and with these prices it’s so convenient

Cons

  • Cost to Maintain: the cost of a new engine was very pricey

- Madison Raulerson, 2017 Ford Focus

Very fun hatchback and well worth the price!

I have the ST trim which brings the Focus to life. You get more power yet still amazing handling for front wheel drive. The car has lots of room for daily use and is pretty good for long road trips. The only thing I don't like is how small the gas tank is at 12 gallons. It gets about 26 mpg but with that small of a tank I have to stop for gas about once a week. It's not a huge problem at all however.

Pros

  • Power: I like the performance.
  • Styling: The car is beautiful.
  • Cargo Space: It is a good amount for daily use.
