Car had a clutch shutter that rattled between 2-3 and 3-4 gear. Ford tried to pawn it off as normal, but the fact that they issued a advisory and an extended warranty to cover the constant reprogramming of the ECM to keep the transmission from forgetting when to shift makes me think it was not normal but a manufacturers defect.
Fun, sporty, and loaded.

This car is cozy and comfortable. I'm 6'1" and I was worried about interior room before I test drove it. Even with the sunroof and spiky hair, headroom isn't an issue (lower the seat when you test drive it!) The features on the Titanium are great. The smart key works flawlessly. The navigation is a big plus and I use it often when traveling. The interior of the car is high quality.
Lots to Love!

Fun around town car, great gas mileage - we got 38 mpg on a trip from LA to Morro Bay in February, and 34 mpg on a trip to Palo Alto in April. That's more than twice what my beloved Pacifica gets! Be forewarned, Focus has a history of clutch failure in low gear, which I was aware of before I purchase this car. When it got bad enough to be of concern, I took it to the Ford dealer and it was replaced under warranty. It runs great now!
