2010 Honda FitJessica Swindoll - Maple Falls, WA07/13/2015
This car has great gas mileage, reliability, and sound system. I'm a 17 year old enrolled in both high school and college so I spend about two hours a day minimum in my car during the fall-spring months. It's never broken down, and I spend only $60 a week on gas despite driving 150 miles a day for five days a week! Plus, the whole time I'm driving I have the sound system pumping and it has never started rattling the speakers. Keep your volume reasonable, drive at 55mph to save gas, and you're good to go.
Honda Fit is compact and efficient, serving as a solid in-between cars kind of car ideal for crowded tight cities/urban areas or a good car for a college student. Smaller gas tank and good fuel efficiency will allow you to save money at the pumps. The Fit has surprisingly generous indoor spacing achieved through multiple seat adjustments and configurations. With 4-D you can also bring folks along for a ride.
This car suited my needs perfectly. I needed a fuel efficient car that was also fun to drive. I liked the configuration of the cargo space for when I transport my bike inside the vehicle.
I used to drive an Acura Integra GS-R, and while this has no where near the power, it does feel like it shares "DNA". It is "zippy" and handles great. However it does feel under-powered and twitchy on the interstates.
During the winter I mount Nokian Hakkapeliitta R2s all around (I bought an extra set of wheels) and with those on the car it handles great in the snow. Almost more fun to drive in the snow than the AWD Outback I traded in.
