2007 Honda FitHappy and Fit! - Skokie IL01/16/2012
Lots of spunk, tons of room, easy to drive/handle even in wintery weather. navigates beautifully, excellent gas mileage, lovely sound system, and an all around wonderfully designed and fun car to drive. Some design issues that may have been fixed with later models: bumper around the tires is kinda flimsy and the gap between tire and bumper quickly fills with snow and slush in winter; car is on the light side in highway and winter driving so a bit of extra precaution is advised;car didn't come with cargo cover or arm rest (center between driver and passenger); wish that retracting seat belt for center rear seat was hidden all the way into the roof rather than having the top portion hang down (I just taped it flat until needed); rear head rests block visibility through back window so I removed them and only install when I know I'll have passengers back there. Nothing major. Really a zippy and very practical, economical and environmentally friendly vehicle. I'm a dedicated Honda owner (civic, wagon) since the 1980s and I'm lovin' the Fit.
I love having a hatchback, it's so easy to get things moved. My fit is so quiet sometimes I'm not sure if the remote starter even kicked in. I never thought I'd need the backup camera but it's so useful. Trying to back out into the street when you have an SUV on either side? Now you can!
2009 Honda Fit - great car
2009 Honda FitCody - San Diego, CA11/01/2011
So far, this car has been great! I bought it in September 2011, so it was already a few years old. I wanted a quality car that will last for a long time. Runs great, gets good mileage, and is very comfortable and spacious. The seats fold down very easily and I can fit my bike in with no problems. I drive mostly city streets (stop and go) so the mileage isn't as great as I hoped, but still at about 30 mpg for that type of driving.
I would definitely recommend this car. I looked into the 2007 and 2008 models, and apparently Honda made some improvements to the 2009 so consider that before you buy an older model.
