2007 Honda PilotSara Smith - Des Moines, IA03/22/2017
Reliable, comfortable, smoothest ride ever! I love the 3rd row seats when we have family and friends with us. 3rd row seat can be fold down for extra cargo room. Trunk area is huge and seats in 2nd row also fold down. My '07 pilot has running boards which are pretty convenient. It gives me the best traction during winter weather typical in Iowa. Snow, sleet, freezing rain -no problem. It takes me to work or back home safely. I also like the panoramic view of vehicle, I have fog lights good for driving out of town, 6-CD changer is nice and radio controls also in steering wheel. Changing lanes is great, due to its wide base, unlike other new SUV's. I highly recommend the Pilot.
While not as long front-to-back from the 2007 Honda Pilot it is replacing it is like all Honda vehicles very reliable with sufficient cargo space and power to carry home repair construction materials. Also great for handling loads of camping gear and passengers to include the dogs on long cross country trips.
This vehicle has served my family for 13 years. We've made more trips to FL for spring break than I care to remember. I do relate to the lack of cargo space other reviewers speak of, with two daughters a luggage rack topper and/or a trailer hitch platform was required, but that was only to provide each kid with a entire row of seating to eliminate fighting. I actually installed the tow package myself, as I did with the cross bars for the roof rack. Saved lots of money that way. The trailer hitch came in handy when moving the kids to Purdue dorms and back again. Oh the stories this vehicle could tell.
230,000 miles an no major issues, just maintenance of timing belts every 90k miles.
Vehicles with third-row seating have plenty of features for nearly every type of driver. For families that need a great family-friendly vehicle, SUVs, crossovers, and minivans with third-row seats give passengers roomy interiors and still have enough power to haul plenty of vacation equipment or moving supplies.
