May, 2021 - warranty expires. July 2021 - 38,700 miles, alternator dies. April 2022 43,500 miles - alternator dies again. Oil leak diagnosed as cause. May 2022 - 44,714 miles - replaced 2 intake manifold gaskets, 1 engine intake plenum gasket, and both valve cover gaskets. Leaving shop and radiator hose clamp failed and was chewed by the adjacent pulley. December 2022 - replacement hose finally came in. Shop installed, and found "new" oil leak in timing chain cover gasket.

I did not want to jump on the review until I have tested the car well enough. I bought this car at about 21,000 miles. Very stylish. Drives like no other! It handles the roads pretty decent. Everything about it is amazing! Oh, did I mention that it turns heads too? I get a lot of compliments. I have not had any mechanical issues. I only go to shop for oil change. Due to the high mileage now, I am shopping for another one. And it must be XF, but newer model, if I can afford it. Once you drive a Jag, you will never go back!

I would absolutely recommend this car and Jaguar overall. I’ve never driven a car this fast when you have it in the red race mode it flys, passing traffic is a breeze. I had my husband make it so the start stop doesn’t come on every time the car starts, I don’t like it and would have to remember to turn it off but now it doesn’t come on anymore yay. The trunk is huge like massive and the back seat is comfortable my kids like the rear seat heaters, I like the front AC seats it’s hot in Southern California and I have black on ultimate metallic black paint. I had all of the chrome covered and made black and I bought 20 inch black rims and she looks so sleek and sexy. I love the heads up display I’m always getting lost and it makes it a lot easier to get back on track. The infotainment system is slow and outdated though I wish I would have waited for the new updated system. You have to use premium gas and the gas mileage isn’t great about 21 mpg and gas has been over $6 a gallon in the Los Angeles area so it’s quite expensive to fill up, I had a repair and the parts are expensive as well as the European synthetic oil changes. When I get a new car I want another XF just newer or possibly an F Pace. I used to think Jaguars were for old men but the XF changed my mind and I’m a lifelong Jag fan now. The interior is so classy and streamlined compared to the Mercedes and BMW which I looked at as well when deciding what to buy, the Jaguar just had a cool, understated sexiness that drew me in. if you’re in the market do yourself a favor and get it you won’t regret it, I bought mine through CarMax and bought the extended bumper to bumper warranty up until 150,000.

Pros

Styling: it doesn’t look like any other car it’s sexy and expensive looking.
Cargo Space: The trunk is huge you could probably fit several bodies in there ;)
Power: Really fast car, it has pick up and go for sure. passing is a breeze.

Cons

Fuel Economy: It gets about 21 MPG which isn’t great especially with premium gas
Technology and Entertainment: The infotainment system is slow and outdated I wish I would have waited for the updated system.
Cost to Maintain: Everything is expensive. Parts, premium gas, European synthetic oil changes, the extended warranty I got was very expensive
