About The Jaguar XF

Vehicle Summary

The Jaguar XF creates plenty of buzz as a muscular and elegant executive sedan fueled by a collection of spirited power plants. Its long and lean silhouette brings back the glory days of taking extended tours over back roads and wide-open highways. It caters to your back-seat VIPs with four-zone climate control, rear solar shades, and an adaptive suspension that glides over the pavement. It can be found as the four-door Sedan or the Sportbrake, which blends the appearance of a station wagon and a contemporary crossover.

Introduced in 2008, it served as the poster child for the new Jaguar owners, Tata Motors out of India. It brought back rear-wheel drive performance and the first model was fueled by a stunning 5.0L V8 engine. The first generation was produced until 2014. In 2015, the second and current generation was released, and a new aluminum infused frame allowed the luxury sport car to take advantage of turbocharged innovations under the hood while lowering overall bodyweight.

While shopping, take into consideration that Jaguar has tried several conventions for identifying trim levels over the past decade. Both the 2.0L and 3.0L engines offer two levels of performance, with the Supercharged moniker usually adding an extra 50 hp. When you slip into the cockpit, you are treated to a wealth of upscale touches such as leather seating surfaces, an exciting surround sound system and a driver memory system. However, it's when you put it through its paces that its athletic heritage shines delivering a ride worthy of its name.

You will never go back to another model!

I have the 2014 XF 3.0 Portfolio. This is the most refined car I have ever owned. The fit and finish of this car is flawless. It drives like no other car on the road. Jaguar places features on cars that other makers never think about. I get looks and stares every day I drive it. You can do 100mph and feel like your sitting still. There is not a single vibration at any speed. Once you have a Jag you will never go back!!!

Test drove it today...OMG!!!

This car is should be every car enthusiast's dream! It is simplistically beautiful and powerful. For the money... it is well worth every penny! The only negative is that the console about the knee just a bit narrow. I am a man of substance so my knee rested against the console making me feel somewhat sandwiched in the drivers seat. I would get over it! My test drive experience was simply UNBELIEVABLE!!!!! As soon as I can... I will be purchasing this car as my next vehicle.

  • Dashboard: Eloquently minimal!
  • Ride and Handling: Feel of luxury and sporty at the same time
  • Power: Unparalleled! Responses at your command!

  • Interior Space: Narrow console near the knee. Maybe too streamlined for larger drivers.

Dream car....

This car is absolutely stunning with no compromise from performance to styling. This was the last concept before the 2016 design and it definitely has that revamped S modeling but modern sophistication. It looks like a cat! The two tone interior of beige and chocolate gives a sense of contrast with the Ebony exterior. Leather cleaning is quite simple when needed. The only con I have with the Portfolio is the fuel economy and the ECO stop. The fuel economy is not big of an issue because of the 3.0L engine and when you buy performance, than it comes with the territory. The ECO stop is not seamless by any means, and if you forget to turn off when you do not have you A/C function operating, it will scare you to think you have just ruined your c

  • Ride and Handling: Performance
  • Cost to Maintain: One annual maintenance fee
  • Styling: Sophisticated yet sporty

  • Fuel Economy: Start/stop technology clunky
