What customers are saying

The 2018 Kia Stinger delivers strong engine performance, precise handling, and sleek aesthetics, offering drivers a sporty yet premium experience. Though noted for advanced technology and value, fuel economy and cabin space were seen as trade-offs. While braking performance and noise levels received criticism, satisfaction remains substantial among fans of dynamic sedans.

luxury sports sedan

At 55yrs old, I was looking for a “fun” car, but classy as well… the Stinger fit that bill. With the 365hp, twin turbo 3.3L , it definitely is a fun car to drive. With the different drive settings, it is a great everyday car as well. I love the fact it fits everything I was looking for in one car.

PROS
Power

365hp stock, 3.3L twin turbo… it moves when I want it to. Aftermarket cold air intakes added another 10hp.

Ride and Handling

best handling car I have driven. so smooth, great control at higher speeds (not that I am speeding;0))

Seat Comfort

so many micro adjustments, fits perfectly . love the heated and cooled seats.

CONS
Fuel Economy

why do you expect, gotta give something up for the power. after market cold air intakes helped.

Visibility

rear window is very small, have gotten use to it

Interior Space

all is good but the rear seat foot space, a bit small; however, how often will you have passengers in the rear…

best budget sportscar

if your looking for a sport car with reliable power and decent gas mileage this car is great 0 to 60 in 4.5 seconds and 31 mpg highway when not giving it the beans

PROS
Power

plenty of power and plenty of bolt on parts to get more of you choose

Reliability

been very reliable and ratings show it should continue to be so

Fuel Economy

23 around town and 31 highway on premium fuel

CONS
Braking

American factory break pads are less then ideal they warp the rotor however if you swap to European pads the issue is resolved

love my stinger

it has all of the nice features of a sports car and a reasonable price. I love the heated seats, lane sensor, and ease of changing driving modes from eco all the way through sport. it is loud when driving on the freeway but my experience has been that with all cars I’ve owned (3 others).

PROS
Value

I got it for a great price and have had people comment that it appears to be worth much more.

Ride and Handling

handles beautifully. I love that it brakes on its own when coming up to other cars even in cruise control.

Technology and Entertainment

it has the impressive ability to link to your phone and have apps directly on the screen.

CONS
Cabin Noise

it is very noisy when driving on the freeway.

Interior Space

my kids and husband complain it’s too small. I’m short and don’t mind but definitely awkward for my 6’ husband. somehow my rather short 9 year old managed to wack his head getting into the car and blamed it on how low to the ground it was.

Seat Comfort

I wish it had seat cooling in addition to the heating.
