Awesome car once make a few changes.

PROS
Power

This car has a tremendous amount of power. I can be shocking at times. it's known to be a good platform to mod to achieve 500 hp reliably without too many changes needed.

Reliability

Has been reliable so far. According to fellow owners, this platform is not known to be problematic

Styling

Beautiful car. I cant stop staring at it. Also very handsome interior as well.

CONS
Braking

The factory Brembos setup are a problem. you frequently experience vibration and shudder under braking. This is all over the forums. fortunately the fix is not very costly. I fixed mine myself with replacing OEM rotors and installing Stoptech Z23 pads on all 4 corners. this cost me about $600 in 2025 with me doing the work myself. problem solved

Cost to Maintain

This is a modern vehicle with a lot of expensive technologies including: twin turbos, direct injection, Dynamic AWD (for AWD versions), LED headlights, Active dampers, etc. if anyone one of these systems have an issue, it can be big money to get them fixed. headlights alone are quoted to be $2000 + $3000. also due to the high performance engine, frequent oil changes and premium fuel is required (in certain cases, 3000 mile oil changes are recommended with 7 quarts of synthetic oil)

Ride and Handling

Although the Factory rims are gorgeous. they are low profile which compromises the ride comfort. I would have preferred more sidewall on the tires at the expense of some handling prowess. Also some owner report bent rims

CONS
Cabin Noise

As good a GT car as there is!

The BMW/Audi influences are clear. The power is awesome, and the quality and finishes are top notch. It will drive like a C class if you want, or remind you it's a twin turbo V6 if you're feeling spicy. Still in shock that this is a Kia. Well done.

PROS
Power

Twin turbo V6 is not messing around. Just wow

Seat Comfort

The napa leather in the GT2 reminds me of C class comfort.

Styling

Audi/BMW influences all over the place. Just a sexy car that grows on you even more over time.

CONS
Fuel Economy

A slightly bigger gas tank would have been nice.

Power

If I'm being super picky, a V8 sounds better, but would also push it out of my price range.

Interior Space

Backseat could be tight for people over 6'2
