I have a Mazdaspeed MX-5. The handling is awesome and acceleration is much better in this version than the non-speed model.
My favorite thing about this car is the huge aftermarket. You can soup up these just about any way your wallet and mechanic skills will allow. They're great for autocross, daily driving, or occassional zips through windy trails.
The only down side is getting in and out of the car, but it's a roadster and that's to be expected. My other car is an SUV so there's a big difference transitioning between them.
Overall I just love it! I see myself owning this for a long time. I've only had it for 2 months and have already upgraded the tires, intake, and fuel door. Performance before appearance.

It's incredibly fun to drive. Reminds me of my 73 MGB. Really noisy for long trips though.
2003 Mazda MX-5-Miatain love with my miata - Chicago06/10/2007
I researched heavily before investing my hard earned pennies into this baby, and I have to say, it's been well worth every penny! I LOVE my miata. It's a head turner, guy magnet and just pure fun. Great on gas, terrific handling, fast when needed (i don't speed, of course!), and just amazing overall. I love my miata! I only someone could give chicago drivers lessons on kindness (especially when driving), I'd be a happy camper. Someone bumped my miata within a week of buying it and scrapped off my paint while leaving his cheap stuff on mine. Lemme tell ya, the midwest is NOT friendly, they have the rudest people around.
