GO DRIVE ONE,,merging into heavy traffic in the morning or evenng rush is a snap, but to really get the idea and feeling of what this car is about drive it up the BLUE RIDGE PARKWAY a hundred miles or soon a sunny warm day,, for the price and value this car is practical.very happy with my selection and i concidered a honda s2000, bmw z3 0r z4 , or nissan 350z and not settled for but chose the mx5-----------GO DRIVE ONE
The Miata exceeded my expectations even though I read many positive reviews, which raised my expectations, before purchasing one. Granted the vehicle is a fun car and intended for just that. Handling and performance are outstanding and build quality is excellent. My wife and I enjoy this car so much that we always opt for it when we take short trips. The other vehicles we have at our disposal are both relatively new and very comfortable for travel. Just not nearly as much fun.
Such a fun little car. I look forward to finding an empty windy road whenever I can and just throwing it into the corners. The sense of confidence it provides and how solid and planted it feels in all conditions. Slowing down for a corner seems so antiquated now. I do have to think twice about making any purchase as the cargo space is extremely limited. Also the interior does get a bit loud on a rough road since with the convertible soft top you are basically driving in a drum. I don't believe there is such a thing as a perfect car, but this is as close as it gets. The few downsides are minor compared to all of the benefits such as Japanese reliability and the sense of fun this car distills in you.
