Customer Review Summary for Mazda MX-5 Miata
THE Driver's Car
2013 Mazda MX-5-MiataJason Smith - South Pasadena, CA06/16/2015
Such a fun little car. I look forward to finding an empty windy road whenever I can and just throwing it into the corners. The sense of confidence it provides and how solid and planted it feels in all conditions. Slowing down for a corner seems so antiquated now.
I do have to think twice about making any purchase as the cargo space is extremely limited. Also the interior does get a bit loud on a rough road since with the convertible soft top you are basically driving in a drum.
I don't believe there is such a thing as a perfect car, but this is as close as it gets. The few downsides are minor compared to all of the benefits such as Japanese reliability and the sense of fun this car distills in you.
If you are reading this...Buy one.

The interior is kinda cheap and has a few squeaks. The carpet is rat fur glued to plastic. The radio is not top notch...
Other than that this car will exceed every expectation you could reasonably have. It is a sports car, not a luxury car. It's not about power, it's about balance and handling. It has the best brakes ever sold on a production car. All those glowing reviews you have read are true.
Plus, it's reliable transportation. My '06 that I bought new has 70,000 miles on it, about 3000 of those miles were on the track at full speed. Aside from wear and tear on tires and brakes it has not been in the shop for other than scheduled maintenance.
Now get off the internet and go buy one. You won't regret it.
