Q: What is the top speed of the 2016 Nissan 370Z?

Q: What kind of fuel economy does the 2016 Nissan 370Z get?

A: Body style, engine configuration, and other factors can affect fuel economy. Q: What is the difference between the 2016 Nissan 370Z and the 2016 Nissan 350Z?

Generation Overview

The 2016 Nissan 370Z is part of this sport car's sixth generation of production (2009-2020). Previously known as the 350Z, the renamed and redesigned 370Z launched in 2009 with a lighter frame than its predecessor (by 95 pounds), as well as a shorter wheelbase (100.4 inches versus 104.3 inches). A larger 3.7 V6 engine also made its debut for the sixth-generation 370Z in 2009.

By the 2016 model year, the 370Z saw an upgraded standard Bose® audio system on all but the Base trim.

2016 Nissan 370Z Engine Options

While every 2016 Nissan 370Z is outfitted with the same 3.7L V6 engine and rear-wheel drive, there are some variances in transmission offerings and hp output. On all but the Nismo trim, for example, that V6 engine puts out 332 hp. On the Nismo trim, the power output is increased slightly to 350 hp.

On all 370Z coupes, a six-speed manual transmission is standard, although a seven-speed automatic was optional when sold new. That automatic transmission is standard on all 370Z roadster models, as are steering-wheel paddle shifters on every model except the Base trim.

2016 Nissan 370Z Interior

More than likely, you're not buying a sports coupe or convertible for the storage space. Still, you'll want to know what you're working with before you buy. On 2016 Nissan 370Z coupes, you can expect 6.9 cubic feet of cargo space behind the seats. On the roadster/convertible, that space is reduced to 4.2 cubic feet.

On the Touring trim and above, you and your passenger will enjoy adjustable, heated seats. On roadster models, the seats are also ventilated for extra comfort.

2016 Nissan 370Z Trim Configurations

There are seven total trims offered on the 2016 Nissan 370Z. All but the Touring Sport were available as a coupe when sold new. Meanwhile, roadster models are limited to Base, Touring, and Touring Sport trims.
