Transmission: Automatic Color:Brown Interior Color: Red Average Vehicle Review: (0 reviews) Since I read about and saw the original 911 Turbo as a kid, I imagined I always wanted a Porsche. The last month as a 911 Carrera owner, using it as my daily driver, has convinced me: this is the greatest car I have ever owned of numerous fun and interesting cars (MB CLK430, Miata, BMW 3-series, Audi A3 and TT). All that is written regarding its handling, acceleration and sportiness is true! It is a credible, if taut, daily driver, and distracted drivers need not apply -- if you are interested in talking on your phone or texting while driving this car, buy a Buick! I can even exceed 20mpg while staying out of the throttle -- which is very hard -- but every on-ramp is a sensory treat. It feels as if carved from a solid billet, its controls offer unparalleled feedback, and it is a comfortable, if space-challenged, mount.

Drive it like you stole it

Some people like wine; some people like hard liquor. Eventually, you'll get drunk. The Porsche 911S will get you in illegal speeds without the drama of tires burning and fishtailing all over the place. It will make you look like a better driver. On the other hand, a Corvette ZO6 will do all the above. It may not have the sporty feel and more quality materials in the interior, but you'll have more money left over. Porsche has a way of making you feel special and feeling better that you just plunked down a load of cash. Luckily, I have both cars.

Das Silver Rocket (911 4S)

A couple weeks ago I bought a low miles 2008 911 4S, manual, GT Silver, full leather with all sorts of factory added Porsche goodies - Navigation, Sports Chrono, etc. 2 prior owners and it still smells like a new car. CarMax has great Porsche selection and very reasonable deals + offering an extended warranty. Took the car to a local Porsche mechanic and the PPI had no surprises other than confirming a great deal. The 2008 911 Carrera 4S (997-1) screams on the freeway. Handling is amazing. It's a fun, fun car and I'll have to seriously watch my driving to avoid tickets. There are numerous reviews and write-up to Google as well as several excellent books on Amazon to buy for which ever year/model you are considering to buy.
