Transmission: Automatic Color:Red Interior Color: Black Average Vehicle Review: (4.590909090909091 reviews) The car is small compact and sporty. The only thing is that like stated it is small, and the cabin room doesn’t hold much. It has for seats but really it’s a coupe for 2. Other than that it is a great car. Especially for mods or power gains later on.

Reviews for 2013 Scion FR-S

Overall Rating

4.6 out of 5 (22 reviews)

Amazing and affordable sports car with some small issues

Total blast to drive, however because 2013 was the first year of the car's production it does have some minor issues such as the much referred to "cricket noise"

Pros

  • Reliability: Subaru + Toyota, what else can you say?
  • Ride and Handling: Handles turns wonderfully and is a blast on backroads
  • Fuel Economy: I get on this car a lot and i'm still averaging around 32 mpg which is great even though the car only takes premium fuel

Cons

  • Cabin Noise: It's loud, if that bothers you skip this. This car is not made for long peaceful trips
  • Power: only dynos to about 163 whp. Pretty weak considering what else there is on the market
  • Weather Versatility: RWD + Snow/Rain = lots of fun, or fear depending on how you see it

Sweet ride

The car is small compact and sporty. The only thing is that like stated it is small, and the cabin room doesn’t hold much. It has for seats but really it’s a coupe for 2. Other than that it is a great car. Especially for mods or power gains later on.

Pros

  • Ride and Handling:
  • Styling:
  • Visibility:

Cons

  • Fuel Economy:
  • Power: Doesn’t come with much other than the 200 hp
  • Seat Comfort: Seats could have been improved, such as Ricaro seats

The FR-S is the ultimate sportscar under $25,000

Higher than rated EPA mpg estimate about 42 HWY in Cold Wisconsin and 26 CTY Great sounding vehicle Turns heads everywhere you go No Problems with vehicle after 2 yrs, only maintenance

Pros

  • Ride and Handling: Fantastic Handling, so responsive
  • Value: Best bang for the buck
  • Cost to Maintain: Haven't had to fix anything yet

Cons

  • Cargo Space: Has very minimal cargo space, but the rear seat bench folds down as a whole, brought a huge dissassembled table in it
  • Visibility: rear windows are a bit small for novice drivers, but easily fixed but adjusting mirrors outwards
