The 2014 Scion FR-S is celebrated for its exceptional handling, stylish design, and strong fuel economy, making it a fun and affordable sports car. However, drawbacks include limited power, cabin noise, and snug interior space. While comfort is high in the front seats, back seats are impractical for adults. Reliability and versatility in adverse weather may be a concern for some buyers.
When I bought this car I thought I was making a sacrifice. I loved the body style but everyone talked about how slow the car was. Maybe I got a good one but this car is everything but slow. With that said it isn't the fastest car around but dollar for dollar this car will stand up to the best. This car hangs with my wife's VW GTI. That's right a car that has 100 more HP than the FR-S but these things are so dang light. I do have to say i got a re-tune the week after I got the car. That got rid to the dreaded power curve dip at 3500rpm. Running on high-grade gas the thing is a blast to drive. handeling is the best if been in. Even compared to BMW and Corvette. It's just more fun to drive.
This thing is SMALL. I really like the overall style. When I decided to buy the car it was based on style alone. I was surprised at the overall performance. Bonus!
While this car is very small (really a two seater) the front seats are extremely comfortable. They are ridged enough for playing on a track day yet comfortable enough for long trips.
The car handles like its on rails. While this isn't the fastest car i've owned it is the most fun to drive. Braking is amazing. I would rate the driving experience up there with BMW & Corvette. Its not as fast as those cars but driving it is just so much FUN.
I go the upgraded sound system. Save your money. The sound system stinks and you would do better with an aftermarket with better speakers.
Sporty look
Great handling and gas milege (I get 27 mpg city in winter and 25 in summer), great looks, comfortable. But its pretty impractical for an only car. Very little storage space and the back seat is just for child car seats.

Its made to be light so its noisy-particularly on the highway.
The car sits low and you sit low in the car. Its easy to hit curbs and given its lowness it will always strike it at the body line.
Not much but you don't buy it for space.
