This generation also saw a revised suspension for a smooth and comfortable ride.
Toyota Camry Engine Options
A 2.5L four-cylinder engine at 203 hp is standard on every eighth-generation Camry, although a 3.5L V6 at 301 hp is optional. Every Camry is equipped with an eight-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive. Beginning with the 2020 model year, however, all-wheel drive is available when paired with the four-cylinder engine on all but the base L trim.
Toyota Camry Storage Space
The eighth-generation Camry is unique in the fact that its base L trim has a shorter wheelbase than the other trims. As a result, the trunk on the base trim offers 14.1 cubic feet of storage space, compared to a slightly larger 15.1 cubic feet on the rest of the lineup. Regardless of whether you opt for the shorter-wheelbase L trim or the standard wheelbase, a wide trunk opening makes loading and unloading cargo easy.

Reviews for 2019 Toyota Camry
This car is awesome to drive. The styling and feeling gives you the sense your in a high end machine. The safety features take a little getting used too, but eventually you will appreciate them. I actually look forward to trips in this car.
- Styling: aggressive look and eye catching accents and dual exhaust is coolness
- Technology and Entertainment: latest safety features and total connectivity with devices (I.E. IPhone)
- Fuel Economy: amazing milage 35+ already and not even 10000 miles on car
- Power: I don't like the lag in shifting from rolling stops, otherwise good power
- Cabin Noise: can be a little loud without entertainment on
Not as good as the Prius we previously owned.
The 2004 Prius was better but didn't have the backup camera or the blind spot monitor
- Interior Space:
- Technology and Entertainment:
- Dashboard: The speedometer is not digital
- Seat Comfort: Not as comfortable as our Prius was
- Cargo Space: Isn't a hatchback

- Fuel Economy: last car got 20 this one gets up to 45 on the highway and around 30 in the city
- Styling: looks good
- Technology and Entertainment: like the touch screen and the stereo sounds good
- Value: it's the se model so it's kind of base so it has a key to start
