2014 Toyota CorollaGus - SAN ANTONIO, TX03/14/2015
Excellent car, except for initial takeoff acceleration. I would consider this car outstanding were it not for the initial slooowww takeoff acceleration. 2004 Corolla CE had much better initial takeoff acceleration. All other driving acceleration speeds are nice (for an economy car). BTW, yes, I tried taking off faster by switching off the Eco mode. It was better but still very slow start.
Great drive at an economical cost.

Excellent mileage = 37 in city, 40 on interstate
Good seats = no backache, even on long trips of 200 miles.
Tasteful interior design and easy to clean seats and instrument panel.
Plenty of pickup for my purposes.
Only negative point - not easy to enter driver's seat for a large person
Bringing Luxury to the Masses

I'd have to say that Corolla's have always been an after-thought in my book. They always came off as being a little too function versus form. This most recent version of the Corolla is a great departure from the Corolla of yore. The amount of technology available in this car would give any tech CEO doing a keynote or product launch a run for their money. The most successful consumer products have all achieved at doing one thing great, bringing luxury to the masses. At Corolla's price points, Toyota has put forth quite a great effort here. If you're in the market for an affordable, economical, reliable, technology heavy vehicle, this car won't let you down. Don't even get me started on the resale value!
