only for fanboys

I never had it long enough to determine long term quality but I’ve no doubt it would have been excellent…….. if you could afford to feed it. I averaged 14 mpg. with gas where I lived at $4 a gallon, it was well over a hundred bucks to fill up. come on Toyota, cylinder deactivation for highway fuel economy is not a new technology. at the price you demand for your trucks, it should have been a standard feature. especially since the 5.7 hasn’t really changed in the 10+ years it’s been out. also for such a large beefy truck the front doors were pretty small. combine those with poor interior storage space and options per dollar, other trucks on the market are better buys

PROS
Reliability

reputation for reliability

CONS
Fuel Economy

you can get more hp, torque, and muuuuuch better mpg out of a 3.5 ecoboost

Interior Space

poor use of interior space. very little storage space

Styling

I’m a big guy, I’m 6-8. for such a large beefy truck the front doors are small and short enough that when my lower back was stiff, with the way I had to bend to get in, it was painful to get in the truck
