I felt the car was an excellent purchase. It has smooth ride, great safety features, plenty of space for cargo and passengers, and very good visibility.

This car has to the potential to last a long time if properly maintained.

Despite epa estimates, realistically I've seen this car reach 29-31 on city driving, and 35-38 on highway driving for mpg.

It feels a bit sluggish at times, doesnt always have that oomph im looking when trying to merge on to the highway or pass a car.

A bit more expensive than servicing hondas or toyotas, but thats to be expected.

Tech seems outdated and the infotainment is really small. It requires to be plugged in, but theres a way around that. Just buy a smartbox or related device that plugs in to allow for wireless connection.

Very roomy and comfortable seats -- both front and back. Trunk surprisingly large.

So far (knock on wood) maintenance has been minimal (oil change.)

Hate the lane control function. Can be turned off but resumes when the car is started. Dangerous.

Actually, I like the not flashy styling.

purchased through car max as a no accident vehicle. vehicle began making squeaks and A/C motor would not discontinue. Car Max reviewed the car by their service team , they stated noise was normal. I brought the car to VW, car had obvious overspray and repair to the front, broken radiator mount( disguised under the plastics protector), broken control arma, stabilizer in rear as well. whoever traded the car in, paid for the damage w/o going through insurance and dumped it into Car Max. I inquired about having the car bought back by car max for another vehicle, but it doesn’t look like they will. to be fair, they covered over 3300 in repairs outside of the 90 day window and have been very supportive, receptive to my complaint. 3rd purchase in past year with them would just have loved for them to take this headache back
