Transmission: Automatic Color:Black Interior Color: Black Average Vehicle Review: (4.889 reviews) I have the SE with lighting package and performance package 6 speed. It was the car of the year and has won a lot awards for good reason! Beat out the Subaru WRX, Audi A3, BMW 2 series and Mini Cooper. That is some serious competition. The interior is phenomenal. The ride is sporty and still comfortable, room for four adults no problem. Excellent on gas. Fold the rear seats down and you can stuff a 7 foot Christmas tree in the car. It subtle and classy. This car has all the boxes checked. Just a well rounded car that is appealing in many ways. Did I mention fun to drive and fast!!!

Great car. Smooth ride. Amazing price.

Comfortable seating and room in the back seats for passengers. Smooth ride along with smooth clutch. Good gas mileage well priced. Fast little 4 cylinder. Been a fan of volkswagen have owned three so far mechanically sound and haven't had any bad electrical issues with any vw I've owned. Highly recommend for the sports car finatic.

Great Driver's Car

Pros: -Simple, attractive, intuitive cabin -Great manual gearbox -Sharp, responsive steering -2.0L Turbo has a nice sound, good torque Cons -suspension gives feedback, sometimes too much on city roads -front seats lack adjustability, rear seats don't fold quite flat

Best do everything car made.

I have driven every sport compact made and the GTI tops them all. It's amazingly comfortable for long road trips, at 6'5" I still have plenty of room and a child seat can still fit behind me. The seats are amazing and I have no issues for hours behind the wheel, the seat heaters are great and go all the way up the backrest unlike most Japanese and American cars that just do the seat bottom. Interior quality is seriously Audi quality, light years ahead of others in this class. The best thing by far about the GTI though is the power and handling... this engine is massively underrated by VW, actual power figures verified by me taking a trip to the dyno put this car at around 250HP and 280TQ. at the crank.
