Good solid ride, 2010 Volvo XC90

The XC90 has a very solid feel too it with excellent handling. Due to the weight, the gearing is fairly low in the first couple gears. This actually gives me a little too much power getting going -- I have to go real easy off the line to keep my passengers from getting whiplash. Seats are super comfy. Back cargo area is very convenient, you even get a mini-tailgate. Auto climate control is great, but the fans will come on full blast while it's getting to temperature. Overall, I'm very happy with this vehicle and would buy one again.

  • Fuel Economy: Running 89 octane, I'm getting 20 MPG, which is higher than I expected.
  • Cabin Noise: Super quiet inside.

  • Dashboard: Clock and temperature are on the driver's side, where it's hard for the passenger to see. These should be centrally located.
  • Technology and Entertainment: Controls are easy, but the stereo takes up way too much space. Also, you're stuck with Volvo's stereo, not aftermarket upgrades here.

Perfect Larger Mid-size SUV

I purchased this car to upgrade from a smaller midsized luxury SUV to have the third row option and larger trunk space. I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. The Volvo XC90 has superb driving, excellent luxury features my favorites including the touch screen display, foot activated tailgate, and heads up safety display. This is a very comfortable ride and front and back seats are well constructed and roomy. Knowing how safe this vehicle is, as well, is a required bonus.

Love my XC90

I took great care and time in choosing this car. I knew I wanted a higher level of luxury upgrade from my previous Honda Pilot. I knew I wanted 3rd-row seat and knew I wanted 2nd-row bucket seats. There aren't very many smaller SUVs that offer that seating arrangement but this car does and works great for my family of 5. The technology, power, and interior are all great and the look of the care as well. I highly recommend this SUV!
