2023 Audi RS Q8 review

1. Super-powerful standard engine 

There’s only one choice of engine with the 2023 Audi RS Q8. But when that one engine happens to be a 4.0L turbocharged V8 motor producing an eye-watering 591 horsepower, who needs any alternative choices? This powerhouse of an engine is combined with an all-wheel-drive system and an eight-speed automatic transmission, meaning thrills are guaranteed every time you put your foot down. Most impressively, it can achieve zero to 60mph in just 3.7 seconds — the kind of acceleration that would put many outright sports cars to shame.  

2. Sharp and exciting driving experience 

If you think the 2023 Audi RS Q8 is thrilling to drive in a straight line, just wait until you get into the turns. The all-wheel-drive platform also features sports brakes for increased stopping power and four-wheel-steering for enhanced agility in the corners. Additionally, you get sports-tuned adaptive air suspension as standard, which can be used to adjust the ride height on the fly and helps maximize the sharp handling while still providing a comfortable ride in less intense moments. 

3. Roomy and luxurious interior 

This vehicle is so exciting to drive, that it’s easy to forget that the 2023 Audi RS Q8 is ultimately still a midsize luxury SUV. However, if you need reminding, looking around the spacious and well-equipped interior should be more than enough. There’s seating for up to five passengers, with 41.6 inches of front seat legroom and 40.2 inches in the back seats. Standard luxury features inside include a panoramic sunroof, ambient cabin lighting, four-zone automatic climate control, and heated and ventilated front seats.  

4. Vast amount of standard features 

Browsing the 2023 Audi RS Q8’s lengthy feature list, you’ll find a rich array of tech and luxury equipment. What you won’t find, however, is any separate trim levels. The vast majority of features listed are included as standard, meaning there’s no need to worry about which trim level includes the features you want. You'll get a power liftgate with hands-free operation, a Bang & Olufsen^® premium sound system, a wireless smartphone charger, a 10.1-inch infotainment touchscreen display, and much more. If all this isn’t enough, there are several option packages available, like the Luxury Package which includes front massaging seats, as well as standalone options including a towing package, night vision assistant, and carbon ceramic brakes.  

5. Full suite of driver convenience technologies 

The 2023 Audi RS Q8 includes a complete suite of driver convenience technologies as standard, ensuring maximum peace of mind out on the road. This includes forward collision mitigation, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, a rear passenger safe-exit system, lane-keeping assist, and a surround-view camera system. There’s also intersection assist, traffic sign recognition, and an automated parking system included in the optional Executive Package.
