- The 740 is available in a new trim called the Li xDrive.
- 740 trims have been upgraded with Automated Cruise Control, Smart Key, 4WD/AWD, and Satellite Radio Ready as standard equipment this year.
- Blind Spot Monitor, Heated Steering Wheel, Lane Departure Warning, Rear A/C Seat(s), Remote Start, and Bang & Olufsen Audio features are now available as options on select trims.
- The I trim now comes with Front Seat Heaters as standard equipment.
