1. Big performance

This power heads through a standard seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. This power then travels to all four wheels for superior grip that helps it sprint to 60 mph in just 4.1 seconds. With the manual transmission, this sprint time dips to 4.5 seconds. Need more performance? The Competition Package adds another 15 hp to this turbocharged V8. delivering even more excitement.  

2. Optional manual transmission 

Manual transmissions aren’t easy to find these days — especially in a midsize sedan. If you want an easier driving experience and quicker sprint times, stick with the 2015 BMW M5’s standard seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. But if you prefer the extra connection you get by shifting your own gears, the 2015 BMW M5 also offers a no-cost optional six-speed manual gearbox. 

3. Wild to mild ride 

The 2015 BMW M5 is a performance car, so comfort may not be the first thing on your mind when driving it. In its higher drive mode settings, the M5 is what you’d expect from a hot sedan, as it stiffens up and delivers curve-ready agility that makes back-road driving exciting. However, if you want a calm ride for your daily commute, you can dial in the default settings. This softens the suspension, giving you the comfortable ride you’d expect from a luxury sedan.
