2023 BMW M850 review

1. V8 power 

Take a test drive in the 2023 M850, and you'll surely be impressed by a standard turbocharged 4.4L V8. It pumps out an impressive 523 hp and 553 lb-ft of torque. Your next road trip will be even more entertaining in the M850. That means 60 mph comes in just 3.9 seconds (according to the manufacturer, when new). 

2. Performance chassis 

With all that power, you'll want great handling too. You'll get 20-inch wheels, a sport-tuned transmission, an adaptive sport suspension, active roll stabilization, and an increased top-speed limiter which will be great for a track day. So you can have power and control all in one great package. 

3. Tech too 

The 2023 M850 has a standard 12.3-inch touchscreen that dominates the clean design of the cabin. You'll also find standard Apple CarPlay^® and Android Auto^™ smartphone integration, navigation, a head-up display, a 16-speaker Harman Kardon^® surround-sound system, a wireless device charging pad, and a digital instrument cluster. It also has driver aids like lane departure warning, forward collision mitigation, and adaptive cruise control. 

4. Standard luxury 

The 2022 M850 has a ton of great standard luxury features. You'll get leather upholstery, soft-close doors, power-adjustable (plus heated and ventilated) front sports seats, a heated sports steering wheel, and multi-color ambient cabin lighting. So you'll be in pure comfort behind the wheel of your 2023 M850. 

5. Optional driver aids 

The M850 has a great suite of standard driver aids. If you want more, look for the Driving Assistance package, which includes blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, a surround-view camera system, parking sensors, and an automated parking system. The Driving Assistance Professional package adds adaptive cruise control, a lane-keeping system, and front cross-traffic alerts.
