The Jaguar F-Type was a two-seat sports car produced for a single generation from 2014 to 2024, with a midcycle refresh in 2021. The F-Type had a wide range of features during its run, including various engines and manual and automatic transmissions. Buyers can also choose from a cozy coupe or a sun-loving convertible. The F-Type offers a comfortable interior for two passengers and enough trunk or under-hatch space for a weekend away or a golfing trip, plus up-to-date technology and driver-assistance features.

2014 - 2024

First generation Jaguar F-Type

The Jaguar F-Type was unveiled in 2014 as a successor to the legendary E-Type of the 1960s. The idea was to create a pure sports car, with seating for two people and a small trunk, or hatch cargo area for the coupe. The F-Type is comfortable, cozy, and definitely not a family car.

Performance is the name of the game for any sports car, and especially a Jaguar. In various model years, the F-Type could be purchased with a turbocharged four-cylinder engine, one of several supercharged V6 engines, and even a selection of supercharged V8 engines with more than 500 horsepower.

Most F-Type models use an eight-speed automatic transmission, but beginning in 2016, the F-Type was available with a six-speed manual transmission with V6 models for four years, ending in 2019. Most F-Types are rear-wheel-drive, but all-wheel drive became available starting in 2016.
