2019 Buick Cascada review

1. Surprisingly large trunk 

Most people who are looking for a convertible are aware that they might have to forego decent trunk space for the sake of a foldaway roof. However, the 2019 Buick Cascada is surprisingly generous with its cargo room. With the top down, it offers 9.8 cu-ft of space, which is pretty reasonable considering there’s an entire roof tucked away in there. But when the roof is up, there’s 13.4 cu-ft of space, which is impressive for a luxury small car and means you don’t necessarily have to make sacrifices when traveling. 

2. Feature-rich base model 

The base model of the 2019 Buick Cascada – 1SV – comes with a generous number of features. Of course, these escalate through the other two trims, but the 1SV comes with enough to satisfy most drivers. This includes entertainment features like a seven-speaker stereo and satellite radio, practicalities like a navigation system, and strong connectivity with Bluetooth^® and an available Wi-Fi hotspot.

3. Quiet, insulated cabin 

There are a few unexpected benefits to the 2019 Buick Cascada. One is that it has four seats whereas most convertibles have two. Next, the power-folding soft top lowers in just 17 seconds. Thirdly, the soft top does a fantastic job of cutting down on wind and road noise and retaining warmth. So no matter the purpose of your trip, you get to travel in peace and won’t have to sacrifice comfort for the fun of top-down driving. 

4. Luxurious seating 

Speaking of comfort, the 2019 Buick Cascada isn’t lacking in that when it comes to seating. Even in the standard 1SV trim, you'll find leather upholstery throughout, heated front seats, and 10-way power-adjustable seating in the front too. Combined with the lack of road noise and the heat retention, this makes the 2019 Buick Cascada something of a home away from home. 

5. Three exciting trim levels 

The 1SV base trim of the 2019 Buick Cascada is already impressively kitted out, but there are two others to consider. The Premium trim has all the amenities of the 1SV – including dual-zone automatic climate control, rearview camera, and a seven-inch touchscreen – plus other driver aids like rain-sensing windshield wipers and forward collision warning. Meanwhile, the Sport Touring trim lives up to its name with a flat-bottomed steering wheel and sporty styling.
