About the Buick Cascada

Overview

If you think convertibles are only built for two passengers, think again. Some models, like the Buick Cascada, still offer seating for up to four passengers. If you've been dreaming of feeling the wind blow through your hair behind the wheel of a soft-top convertible but need seating for more than two passengers, you'll want to check out the Cascada for yourself. This two-door convertible was produced from 2016 through 2019 and has a lot to offer in a relatively small package.

In addition to four-passenger seating, the Cascada boasts a respectable 13.4 cubic feet of trunk space in its 2018 model—plus indulgent features like leather upholstery, automatic dual-zone climate control, heated front seats, and a seven-inch touchscreen interface. Under the hood, you'll also find a standard turbocharged engine for a little extra pep behind the wheel.

love it but......

It is one of the last luxury convertibles. I’ve always loved convertibles but too old for little sporty ones:) This Buick is very comfortable and drives very nicely. con: cockpit controls are redundant snd the infotainment system is difficult. BIG con: unable to update navigation. Buick says it can’t be done! The area where the cup holders are is useless. I notice you didn’t ask about CarMax.

A perfect sporty car!

I thought I wanted a 2-seater sports car but realized that I simply needed a bit more space. When I saw the picture and features of the Buick Cascada, I knew it was the perfect car for me! It's sporty, but also has a backseat and adequate trunk space. Plus, it's a convertible, which is also what I wanted!

Pros

  • Seat Comfort: The heated seats!!!! Love it! And they heat up quickly so I'm not sitting there freezing before the heat kicks in!
  • Ride and Handling: Handles like a sports car! I can zip in and out of traffic with ease! (And yes, I do follow all the traffic laws and speed limits!)
  • Styling: It looks impressive! Everyone loves it and the price was reasonable!

Cons

  • Fuel Economy: Would have liked a little better MPG, but it's better than my truck, so not too bad.
  • Cargo Space: Not too much of a con - pretty much holds most of the stuff I need. I did keep my truck for carrying/hauling around large items
  • Technology and Entertainment: Well, it's a little bit hard to figure out.

A Beautiful Rude

Great looks, well designed, peppy (1.6L turbo - 200 hp), very comfortable, trunk amazingly roomy

Pros

  • Styling: This is a luxury convertible, well designed, and fun to drive
  • Seat Comfort: seats are highly motorized including lumbar support and very comfortable on long rides

Cons

  • Technology and Entertainment: perhaps too many options to select from in the center console but, over time and use, one would learn the function of these switches
  • Fuel Economy: This vehicle does require 91+ octane but the turbo assisted engine is smooth, quiet, and moderately efficient on the highway (28+ mpg)
