2024 Buick Encore GX review

1. Desirable tech features as standard 

You might lean heavily on the technology features of a car when making your decision. If that sounds like you, the 2024 Buick Encore GX is a vehicle that delivers. It comes with an impressive 19-inch digital dashboard, which combines an 11-inch touchscreen and an eight-inch digital instrument cluster. The touchscreen infotainment system responds quickly and intuitively to users, and it comes with Apple CarPlay^® and Android Auto^™ connectivity, an available Wi-Fi hotspot, and Bluetooth^®.

2. Generous cargo space 

The 2024 Buick Encore GX is highly generous when it comes to space for luggage, shopping, sports gear, and more. Behind the second row of seats, there’s 23.5 cu-ft of room and with the rear seats folded, that’s boosted to 50.2 cu-ft. This is great for its class as a subcompact SUV, and on top of that, the rear split-folding sets and folding front passenger seat make loading large items much easier. 

3. Impressive EPA-estimated mpg 

Many of us are thinking of ways we can go further between fill-ups, especially when shopping for a used car. The Encore GX could be a good choice if you're looking for balanced performance that won't have you stopping too often at the gas station. The AWD version of the 2024 Buick Encore GX boasts an EPA-estimated 27 combined mpg, which is certainly a tick in its favor when it comes to major benefits.

4. Trims revised for 2024 

The Buick Encore GX received a trim shuffle and refresh for 2024, making it a little different from previous years. There are three trim levels for this year: Preferred, Sport Touring, and Avenir. Preferred comes with a 137-hp turbocharged three-cylinder engine as standard, while the upper two trims have a 155-hp turbocharged three-cylinder engine. Sport Touring takes all of the benefits of Preferred and adds sporty styling, while Avenir is more sophisticated in general and includes some cabin luxuries, such as extra lumbar support and a cabin humidity sensor. 

5. Attractive interior 

Speaking of the cabin, the inside of the 2024 Buick Encore GX is thoughtfully designed and attractive. The design is unfussy and features some physical buttons alongside the digital dashboard to ensure key controls don’t get lost in the screen menu. There are some hard plastics in the interior, but most of the touchpoints are soft and appealing. Plus, there’s a comfortable amount of space for all passengers.
