Power and substance
Buick made a strong attempt to reclaim a position in the luxury segment with the 2019 Buick Lacrosse, and it did a great job of it. Buick brought in some major changes in 2017 and it has continued improving on the Lacrosse ever since. It’s comfortable and sensible in the ways that matter – such as the plush and spacious seats – but it also has an impressive V6 engine that opens up its potential audience to anyone who loves a bit of extra power.

5 reasons to buy the 2019 Buick LaCrosse
1. Appealing interior
The 2019 Buick Lacrosse is very much aiming for a comfortable midpoint between mainstream and luxury. It does a good job of leaning towards the latter despite the amount of hard plastics used. What makes it feel high-end, though, is how effectively road noise is kept out of the cabin, as well as how comfortable the seats are. If you want additional sophistication, keep an eye out for the top trim – Avenir – which includes leather upholstery.
2. Potent V6 engine
While the 2019 Buick Lacrosse’s standard 194-hp 2.5L four-cylinder engine is enough for most drivers, those wanting more grunt should look out for the available 310 hp 3.6L V6. With that additional power, acceleration is vastly improved, especially if there are passengers in all five seats. The V6 can achieve zero-to-60 in 5.6 seconds, which is impressively peppy.
3. Spacious second row
Some vehicles fall down when it comes to room in the back seats, but the 2019 Buick Lacrosse has plenty of room even for tall passengers. The base trim comes with 37.2 inches of headroom and 38 inches of legroom, meaning fully grown adults can still relax even while relegated to the back. That means no more arguments about who sits where.
4. User-friendly infotainment system
One of the most appealing features of the 2019 Buick Lacrosse is how easy-to-use its infotainment system is. It has an eight-inch touchscreen that is easy to navigate and intuitive. As standard, there are useful features like Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ connectivity, as well as voice recognition which is extremely helpful when driving alone, an available Wi-Fi hotspot, and Bluetooth® integration.
5. Sporty trim
If you like sporty styling, it’s worth looking out for the Sport Touring trim of the 2019 Buick Lacrosse, which was introduced that year. It comes with most of the same features as the Essence trim – including leather upholstery, driver’s seat memory settings, wireless device charging, adaptive headlights, and more – but adds a sporty grille, spoiler, and fender, as well as larger wheels. All the function with extra style.
