One of the main reasons to buy a full-size SUV is for the 'full-size' part, and the 2021 Chevrolet Suburban delivers comfortably on size. Three-row seating allows capacity for up to eight passengers—nine with the optional front bench seat—with plenty of legroom for each passenger. Additionally, there's plenty of room for extra cargo and groceries too; 41.5 cu-ft of luggage volume in standard configuration and up to a whopping 93.8 cu-ft of luggage volume with the third-row seats folded flat.
The 2021 Chevrolet Suburban looks rugged on the outside but it has a comfortable ride, too. This is thanks to a redesigned independent rear suspension for the 2021 model year, as well as optional features that include air-spring suspension with adaptive dampers. Add in a newly reconfigured lower floor to improve legroom for second- and third-row seating passengers, and the 2021 Chevrolet Suburban becomes a car you'll look forward to taking long journeys in.
The 2021 Chevrolet Suburban's pickup truck foundation combined with that full-size body means it can offer serious pulling power under the hood. The standard 5.3L V8 engine packs 355 horsepower, 383 lb-ft of torque, and with two-wheel drive can tow up to an estimated 8,300 lbs (when properly equipped).
Another area where the Suburban delivers is features. The standard LS trim includes a 10.2-inch infotainment touchscreen system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functionality, and the LT trim adds a hands-free liftgate for extra convenience, as well as heated front seats and wireless charging. Elsewhere there are features such as the two-speed transfer case on the off-road orientated Z71 trim, and a panoramic sunroof on top-of-the-range High Country trims.
With the 2021 Chevrolet Suburban, you can relax with a great variety of driver convenience technology features available. Standard on base models is forward collision mitigation, the Premier trims add lane-keeping assist and blind-spot monitoring, and the premium High Country trim includes surround-view parking cameras. Add in optional adaptive cruise control on all trims, and the 2021 Chevrolet Suburban is the full-size SUV that is effortless to drive in the city and on the open road.
