5 reasons to buy the 2024 Ford Bronco
1. Impressive off-road and all-terrain ability
From the jacked-up ride height to the chunky bumpers and wheelarches, you can tell right away that the 2024 Ford Bronco is built for off-road adventures. It’s a truck-based SUV that’s most at home off the beaten track and is well-equipped to tackle the rough stuff. Even base Big Bend models feature trail-tuned suspension, eight inches of ground clearance, a two-speed transfer case with high and low gearing, tow hooks, and hill descent control. Look out for the available full-length skid plates, side steps, and auxiliary switches, as well as the Sasquatch® package with front and rear locking differentials, raised suspension, and Bilstein™ shock absorbers.
2. Huge feature list packed with trim levels and option packages
Speaking of features, the 2024 Bronco’s feature list is jam-packed from top to bottom with trim levels, option packages, and features to tailor the driving experience of the Bronco. Want to lean into the retro-themed styling? The Heritage Edition trim includes special bumpers and heritage-style graphics, as well as a white grille and hardtop. For a more comfortable and civilized ride on-road, models equipped with the Mid Package include dual-zone automatic climate control and heated front seats, while the High/Lux Package also adds a ten-speaker Bang & Olufsen® sound system and adaptive cruise control. And of course, there is a trim level combination available for every possible level of off-roading, like the Everglades trim with a WARN® winch kit and air snorkel for tackling extreme conditions and fording water.
3. Stout and strong turbocharged engine options
Amongst the myriad features and trim levels for the 2024 Bronco, is a selection of three engine options to choose from. And whichever one you choose, all three offer stout power and strong torque output for taking on steep climbs and rough terrain. To start, all trims from Big Bend to Badlands contain a 2.3L turbocharged four-cylinder engine under the hood, good for 300 horsepower and 325 lb-ft of torque — a strong starting point. Next up, standard on Wildtrak through Everglades trims (and optional on trims below Wildtrak) is a 2.7L turbocharged V6 engine, with power increasing to 330 horsepower and torque jumping up to 415 lb-ft. Finally, standard on the top-line Raptor trim is a 3.0L turbocharged V6, producing a formidable 418 horsepower and 440 lb-ft of torque.
4. Numerous tech equipment to assist with off-roading
Not only is the 2024 Bronco a supremely capable off-road vehicle, but it also includes an impressive selection of tech features designed to help make off-road driving as easy as possible. And even better, most of these tech features are standard on all models. These standard features include hill start assist, to avoid rolling backward when stopped on a hill, as well as turn trail assist, for making tight turns in narrow spaces, and a terrain management system with six different modes. That number goes up to seven on Black Diamond trims upwards.
5. Comfortable ride on normal roads
While the 2024 Bronco is built primarily for tackling surfaces other than asphalt, it can also handle normal road surfaces smoothly and comfortably. Independent front suspension makes the steering nice and sharp, while standard creature comforts include a 12-inch infotainment touchscreen and seven-speaker sound system with Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ integration. There’s also a selection of driver convenience technologies on offer, from automatic emergency braking on standard Big Bend trims, up to blind-spot warning with rear cross-traffic alert on Mid Package equipped trims, and adaptive cruise control and evasive steering assistance on High/Lux Package equipped trims.
