The 2024 Ford Expedition Max is the extended-wheelbase version of the regular Expedition, offering more cargo space and room for passengers. 1. Potent engine 

The 2024 Ford Expedition Max is equipped with an extremely potent engine that allows it to tow heavy payloads and carry a lot of cargo. It’s powered by a standard twin-turbo 3.5L V6 engine that generates 380 hp and 470 lb-ft of torque. This engine is paired with a ten-speed automatic transmission, with rear-wheel drive as standard. 

2. Vast cargo area 

Expectedly, the extended wheelbase of the 2024 Ford Expedition Max results in a huge cargo area, which will come in handy for hauling passengers and their stuff. Behind the third row, it offers 34.4 cu-ft of cargo space, which is enough to fit a couple of carry-on suitcases along with a few grocery bags. The storage volume further increases to 73.3 cu-ft with the third-row seats folded, with the total capacity measuring 121.5 cu-ft behind the first row. 

3. High towing capacity 

In addition to carrying a lot of cargo, the 2024 Ford Expedition is capable of hauling heavy loads, too. The 3.5L engine allows it to tow an estimated 9,200 lbs when properly equipped.

This type of capacity is enough to pull a large camper, a fully loaded 6x12 trailer, or a couple of snowmobiles.

The 2024 Ford Expedition Max comes standard with numerous driver-assistance features that make it easier to maneuver this large SUV. For starters, there's forward-collision warning and forward automatic emergency braking, as well as lane-keep assist and lane-departure warning. On top of that, it comes with rear parking sensors, rear cross-traffic alert, blind-spot monitoring, and automatic high-beam headlights.

To enhance the riding experience and make sure passengers stay connected and entertained while on the road, Ford has equipped the 2024 Expedition Max with plenty of tech features. There is the standard infotainment system with a 12-inch touchscreen and Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ integration, as well as Bluetooth® connectivity and voice recognition. Also standard are a six-speaker audio system and four USB ports, as well as a tri-zone automatic climate control system.
