The current generation of the F-350 brings together luxury and capability with no compromise between the two. There are five trim levels, ranging from the minimalist XL working truck spec to the super-luxurious Platinum trim. Three trim levels, including Lariat, King Ranch, and Platinum, can be considered premium trucks with features like heated and ventilated front seats, a Bang & Olufsen® audio system, and a 12-inch touchscreen infotainment system. You can choose from a two-door single-row standard cab, an extended SuperCab, or a full four-door crew cab— the crew cab is the most popular choice.

Whether you will use it for family vacations or serious work, the F-350 delivers. Depending on the configuration, it can tow up to 28,000 pounds on a conventional trailer hitch or up to 38,000 pounds on a gooseneck hitch, with a fifth-wheel hitch in between those ratings.

Technology was moving quickly in the fourth-generation F-350 Super Duty era, so infotainment and towing assistance improved dramatically during these model years. Mechanically, the trucks didn't change much, but Ford added luxury trims to satisfy new buyers who wanted more comfort and a more upscale appearance.

In this era, four-wheel drive became standard on the top King Ranch and Platinum trim levels, and a new 12-inch touchscreen infotainment system was introduced. Yet the F-350 remained focused on getting serious work accomplished, with tow capacity ratings up to 37,500 pounds for fifth-wheel trailers.

Ford redesigned the Super Duty truck line for the 2011 model year, giving the trucks a stronger chassis to handle increasing engine power and enable higher tow ratings. The F-350 was still the king of the consumer trucks, popular with contractors, builders, and those who needed to tow large travel trailers or other equipment.

With a variety of cab designs, as well as eight-foot beds and the available dual-wheel rear axle, the F-350 was among the most configurable trucks on the market in this era.
