Practical work truck
The Ford F-350 was redesigned in 2015 with a fresh exterior and revised engine options. The truck’s trim packages were upgraded with dual rear wheels as standard equipment. Other new features in the 2015 model included side airbags and satellite radio connectivity as standard equipment. For the King Ranch option, 20-inch plus wheels became standard. Two engine options are available for the 2015 Ford F-350: a 6.2L gas V8 and a 6.7L turbodiesel V8. Both engines come with a heavy-duty, six-speed automatic transmission. 5 reasons to buy the 2015 Ford F350
1. High towing capacity
With new front springs and a wide-track axle that were not available in the previous year’s model, the 2015 Ford F-350 has massive towing capacity. The standard 6.2-liter, gasoline-powered V8 can tow a maximum estimated load of 12,500 pounds when properly equipped.
With dual rear wheels, that number increases to an estimated 16,100 pounds. If you're after maximum hauling power, look for the available diesel engine with the fifth wheel setup, as this will tow up to an estimated 26,700 lbs when properly equipped. Power Scope towing mirrors are available to help you keep an eye on your load.2. Storage space galore
With a bed length of up to eight feet, the 2015 Ford F-350 has plenty of storage. But inside the cabin, you’ll also have space to stow away laptops, tools, overnight bags, and everyday items. For instance, storage space is available in the overhead console, in the front seatback, and under the seats.
3. High-end amenities
The 2015 Ford F-350 might be used most often as a work truck, but that doesn’t mean you can’t experience creature comforts inside. It comes with a tilt-telescoping steering wheel and rearview camera. Look for the available navigation system with SiriusXM® Travel Link, power-adjustable pedals, heated and cooled front seats with driver-side memory feature, and remote start.
4. Variety of options
Three cab designs are available for the 2015 Ford F-350. They include the two-door regular cab and the four-door Super Cab and Crew Cab, with single- or dual-wheel rear axle, and an 8- or 6.8-foot bed. The truck also is available in five trim levels, including XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, and Platinum.
5. Mix business and pleasure
The 2015 Ford F-350 may be built for work and massive tows, but it also works for families or groups of friends. Both the front and back seats offer more than 41 inches of legroom for getting comfortable on road trips or just riding around town. And for weekend activities, the truck is equipped to pull your camper or boat wherever you wish to go.
