5 reasons to buy the 2022 Ford Edge
1. Engine options and standard AWD
The 2022 Edge has a standard 2.0L engine with 250 horsepower or you can opt for the optional 2.7L turbo V6 engine with 335 hp, available exclusively in the sporty ST trim. If you are looking for AWD capability, you're in the right place as it's standard on all trim levels . That means your weekend excursion can benefit from a bit of added traction, whether you are heading to the campsite, or out on a long-haul highway trip.
2. Impressive base SE trim
No matter which 2022 Edge you're looking at, it'll be packed with standard equipment. The Edge SE is technically the base model, but what's inside might surprise you. It comes with LED headlights, a huge 12-inch touchscreen complete with Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ smartphone integration, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a lot more.
3. Tons of tech
The 2022 Edge has all the tech you are looking for in your next vehicle. In addition to that crisp 12-inch portrait touchscreen and smartphone integration, the 2022 Edge delivers the SYNC® 4A infotainment system, plus a lot more on the technology side. Several driver aids like blind sport warning, automatic emergency braking, and auto high beams are standard across all trim levels. Check out the optional Ford Co-Pilot360™ technology which adds adaptive cruise control, evasive steering assist, and a navigation system.
4. Cargo capacity
The two-row Edge has seating for five but was also built with cargo capacity in mind. It features an impressive 39.2 cubic feet behind the second row, which puts it towards the top of its class. Plus, if you need more, drop the rear seats and cargo capacity maxes out at an even more impressive 73.4 cubic feet. That means everything from the grocery run to a trip to the home improvement store will be easier.
5. Luxury or speed
The 2022 Ford Edge has a premium side, as well as a sporty side. The SEL trim gets your Edge upgrades like simulated leather upholstery with power-adjustable and heated front seats. Move up to the Titanium trim and get full leather upholstery, a hands-free liftgate, and wireless phone charging, just to name a few. Or, if you have the need for speed, check out the Edge ST, which goes beyond just having a more powerful engine — it adds sport suspension, 20-inch wheels, leather and simulated-suede upholstery, and more.
