The Ford Maverick is a true compact pickup truck based on the same chassis underpinning the Ford Bronco Sport and Escape SUVs. With crew cab seating for five, available all-wheel drive, an independent rear suspension, and an available hybrid drivetrain, the Maverick is an affordable and useful all-purpose vehicle.

First generation Ford Maverick

Introduced for the 2022 model year, the compact Ford Maverick pickup truck is available in front- or all-wheel drive with either the 2.0-liter turbocharged gas engine or the hybrid drivetrain, which returns up to an EPA-estimated 38 mpg combined.

The Maverick can haul up to 1,500 pounds in the bed, and a towing package gives it up to 4,000 pounds of towing capacity.
Optional extras include tow-hitching assistance and smooth trailer reversing control.

For the 2025 model year, Ford introduced the Lobo and Tremor special editions. The Lobo includes a seven-speed "quick-shift" automatic transmission, a performance-tuned suspension, and a track mode. The Tremor enhances off-road capability with advanced 4WD, locking rear differential, and a special off-road-tuned suspension.

The four-door Maverick offers seating for up to five passengers in two comfortable rows, with under-seat storage beneath the rear seat. Leather replaces cloth seats on Lariat trims, and a standard 13.2-inch touchscreen provides easy access to infotainment features. Available wireless device charging and Ford's Co-Pilot360® driver-assistance package add convenience and safety.
