5 reasons to buy the 2021 Ford Transit Connect
1. Versatile and compact design
The 2021 Ford Transit Connect is a small cargo van that's ideal if you're looking for a more compact hauler than some of Ford's full-size vans. Its compact size makes it easier to park and it's available in a variety of configurations, including as a two-seater cargo van or six-seater passenger van (with the option to add a bench seat in the middle row, bringing seating to seven). This makes it a practical choice, no matter whether you intend to use it for commercial or personal use.
2. Practical performance
The Transit Connect long-wheelbase wagon model gets an EPA-estimated 26 mpg combined, while the shorter wheelbase vans get an EPA-estimated 25 mpg combined (both with the 2.0L engine).
The 2.0L engine puts out 162 horsepower, which is plenty for urban work duties or ferrying around passengers. This gives you a good balance between power and fuel economy, allowing you to go further between fill-ups.3. Driver assistance technology
The 2021 Ford Transit Connect features a range of driver-assist features including standard pre-collision assist with automatic emergency braking, a rearview camera, and a reverse sensing system, making work-site and urban parking maneuvers a cinch. There are lots of options to look out for, too. Jump to the XLT trim to add a blind spot information system and look out for models with the XLT Premium Package, as this adds adaptive cruise control with lane-keeping assist.
4. Lots of options
The Transit Connect comes in many shapes and sizes so look out for the configuration and wheelbase length that suits your needs. You also have the option of a 2.5L engine and a prep package that enables the vehicle to run on compressed natural gas. When it comes to other technology features, Ford's SYNC®3 system is available on all models (standard on XLT and Titanium trims), giving you Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay® integration. The Titanium trim also includes a nine-speaker sound system.
5. Work-life balance
The Transit Connect offers a lot of versatility and doesn't skimp on features, even in its basic configuration. This makes it a great choice if you're in need of a practical, versatile, and feature-packed vehicle. In cargo van models, you'll love the flat-folding passenger seat, which makes it easier to carry longer items, and you'll find yourself making use of the available wireless charging pad when the days run long.
