2023 Genesis Electrified GV70 review

1. Good commuting range 

The 77.4-kWh battery and dual motor setup get you an EPA-estimated range of 236 miles on a full charge, which is incredibly practical for commuting, weekends away, and anything your daily drive can throw at you.

It’s also incredibly nippy thanks to its ability to do zero to 60 in 4.1 seconds — aided by a boost function that takes horsepower to 483 for 10-second bursts. With a generous suite of driver-assist features, the Electrified GV70 is a good choice if you rack up the miles each week. 

2. Comfortable ride 

Comfort is another great strong suit of the 2023 Genesis Electrified GV70. The standard adaptive suspension can read the road to better tailor the feel of the vehicle to what’s ahead. This means it readily absorbs bumps and potholes, making for a smooth ride. On top of this, you’ll also get standard heated and ventilated seats to help you manage all-weather road trips.  

3. Well-thought-out interior 

The cabin of the Electrified GV70 is full of attention to detail. It feels high-tech and luxurious with standard features including leather upholstery and a panoramic sunroof. The interior is very quiet too, so you can choose to drive in peace or get the most from the optional 15-speaker Lexicon sound system (Prestige package). To further enhance the driving experience, you’ll also get standard driver-assist features such as automatic braking, driver attention warnings, adaptive cruise control, and much more. 

4. Standard AWD 

This small SUV has standard all-wheel drive from its dual-motor setup, making the most of its 429 horsepower. All this combined makes the Electrified GV70 feel planted and powerful when you’re out on the open road. The AWD adds extra grip on dry pavement when you want to have a bit of fun but comes in handy when the weather turns too. 

5. Power your devices 

Another useful feature of the 2023 Genesis Electrified GV70 is its two-way charging system. As with all electric vehicles, you can charge the GV70 (and quickly, too as it’ll charge from 10% to 80% in just 18 minutes on a 350-kW fast charger), but you can also power your devices with it. The power ports within the vehicle allow you to run small appliances or even charge another EV. Imagine how handy this would be when you’re on a camping trip and fancy a morning cup of coffee — just plug in your machine and go.
