Whether you’re off-roading, hauling compost around a farm, or towing a trailer, you need a powerful truck. The 2015 GMC Sierra 1500 can deliver. The pickup comes standard with a 285-hp 4.3L V6. For even more might, choose one of the V8 engines: a 355-hp 5.3L V8 standard on SLT and Denali trims, or a 420-hp 6.2L V8 available on those trims.

If your weekends are full of trail rides and camping, or your work days involve towing equipment, you’ll appreciate the power of the 2015 GMC Sierra 1500. With the standard 4.3L V6 and rear-wheel drive, the 2015 Sierra 1500 can tow up to 7,200 pounds when properly equipped.

With the 5.3L V8 the Sierra can tow up to 11,200 pounds when properly equipped.
For the most towing capacity, choose the 6.2L V8, which can tow up to 12,000 pounds when properly equipped.

That trim comes standard with a V8 engine, heated and ventilated leather seats, a heated steering wheel, a Bose® audio system, and much more.  

4. Off-road ready 

If you spend lots of time camping or four-wheel driving on dirt roads, choose a 2015 GMC Sierra 1500 with the Z71 package, available on the SLE and SLT trims. That trim adds adventure-ready features, like improved shock absorbers, underbody shields, hill descent control, and recovery hooks. The Denali trim also has off-road ready features, including adaptive suspension and a locking rear differential.  

5. Carbon styling 

Your 2015 GMC Sierra 1500 can stand out if it comes equipped with the available Carbon 22 Edition, a package for the SLE trim. The package offers elevated interior and exterior styling, including a blacked-out grille. It also adds remote start, a tilting and telescoping steering wheel, a 10-way adjustable driver's seat, and more.
