5 reasons to buy the 2022 Honda Accord Hybrid
1. Powerful and versatile hybrid engine
Looking for an engine that offers everyday power as well as practicality? This one checks all the boxes. All 2022 Honda Accord Hybrid models come standard with a 2.0L engine paired with two electric motors and a lithium-ion battery pack, which is good for 212 hp. Those electric motors also mean the 2022 Accord Hybrid gets an impressive EPA-estimated 47 mpg combined, all while only producing an EPA-estimated tailpipe greenhouse gas emissions of 186 grams per mile.
2. Spacious and well-equipped interior
The 2022 Honda Accord Hybrid is a midsize sedan with a far-from-midsize interior. With seating for up to five passengers, everyone will have room to make themselves comfortable, thanks to a generous 105.6 cu-ft of passenger volume and more than 40 inches of legroom in the front and the rear. If all that isn't enough, the Accord Hybrid's cabin is also packed with features to make every journey as comfortable and relaxed as possible. Standard features include dual-zone climate control and an eight-inch touchscreen, while leather upholstery, heated seats, and a sunroof are all available on the EX-L and higher trims.
3. Driver-assistance tech as standard
For maximum peace of mind while you're out and about, the Accord Hybrid is packed with driver aids, and almost all of them are available as standard. All 2022 Honda Accord Hybrid trims offer a suite of driver-assistance features, including adaptive cruise control, forward collision mitigation, lane departure warning, and traffic sign recognition. That's more than enough for day-to-day driving, but if you want some extra features, the EX-L trim adds blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert and front and rear parking sensors.
4. Plenty of cargo space
One possible downside of a hybrid power unit is the extra space taken up by the batteries and electric motors. No need to worry about this with the 2022 Honda Accord Hybrid, though. You'll get an equally spacious trunk with a roomy interior that offers just as much room for cargo as the non-hybrid 2022 Accord. It adds up to a total of 16.7 cu-ft of cargo volume—ideal for weekly grocery shopping trips. The rear seats also fold flat, offering you more storage space for bigger items if needed.
5. Modern technology
Across four available trims, the 2022 Honda Accord Hybrid offers a wide variety of features, particularly when it comes to modern technologies in the cabin. Standard on all 2022 Accord Hybrids is an eight-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ integration, plus two USB ports. The Sport trim adds two more charge-only USB ports for rear-seat passengers, as well as wireless smartphone functionality. The EX-L trim includes a wireless charging pad, and the top-of-the-range Touring trim offers an available Wi-Fi hotspot.
