Dynamic all-electric driving.
If your next vehicle needs to reflect your green-conscious lifestyle, it makes sense to drive electric. But that doesn't mean fun gets forgotten, or drivability becomes dull. In fact, technology and innovation are at the heart of the 2022 Ioniq 5, Hyundai's first all-electric origin model, and a crossover SUV that oozes class. Expect envious looks and eager questions with the Ioniq 5, because put simply, it's an incredibly good-looking vehicle. With flush door handles, an edgy dashboard, and lights that seem to have the dazzling placement of a city skyline, it looks like the future. There's also a nod to the 1980s, a dizzying mixture that turns heads, no matter where you are. This is a bold conceptual vision, made real. The interior is spacious, with a focus on ease. Dual 12.3-inch display screens seamlessly deliver driver information and passenger infotainment. Rear-row passengers get slide-and-recline seat functionality as standard. Soft-touch upholstery creates a hushed and indulgent interior feel, with clear thought being put into the sustainable feel of interior materials. Dazzling technology supports every Ioniq 5 journey. From daily commute standard features like adaptive cruise control and forward collision mitigation to super-fast charging capability and an available remote parking assist system, every day is a feel-good day with the 2022 Ioniq 5. While we currently do not have many 2022 Hyundai Ioniq 5 on our lots, we look forward to selling more in the future. 5 reasons to buy the 2022 Hyundai Ioniq 5
1. Impressive driver assistance aids
The 2022 Ioniq 5 comes well equipped with plenty of up-to-date driver assistance aids as standard. Supporting your daily commute on busy multi-lane highways, adaptive cruise control maintains your distance from the car in front. Hit downtown close to work or school and you'll appreciate the driver assist systems that support your awareness as you navigate those high-activity areas.
2. Fast-charging capability
Charging your Ioniq 5 is simple to understand and easy to put into practice. Equipped with ultra-fast multi-voltage charging and plug-in at-home capability, the Ioniq 5 can charge overnight while you sleep, or pick up miles in a matter of minutes at a public DC fast-charge station. End of the week charge? Plug into a 240-volt household outlet (just like the ones that power your oven or washer/dryer) and your Ioniq 5 will be recharged in under seven hours. Road-trippers can stop for a comfort break at an ultra-fast charging station and go from 10 to 80 percent charge in as little as 18 minutes. Easy.
3. A flexible interior
Making things easy for you as the driver and spaciously comfortable for your passengers, the Ioniq 5 's interior builds around its powertrain to deliver more space and flexibility for all. The center console can travel back and forth by 5.5-inches. The rear row seats are slide-and-recline equipped. The flat floor lends itself to more storage options when hauling cargo, and for your passenger's essentials, the slide-open glovebox, center console, door cubbies, cup holders, and seatback pockets have got you covered. Upgrade to the SEL trim and above, and you'll also get ambient LED interior lighting to set the tone for your journey.
4. Limited trim driver perks
While all 2022 Ioniq 5 models are well equipped, the Limited trim offers plenty of perks as the range-topping model. The automated parking system will get you into (and out of) a tight parking spot with almost no driver intervention required at all. Or if you want to check your surroundings as you slowly navigate a forest trail, the Limited trims' 360-degree camera system will allow you to see what's around you, protecting your paintwork from any rocks and branches that might loom large along the way.
5. Useful vehicle-to-load capability
Take your coffee maker and curling iron with you on an Ioniq 5 road trip. Your vehicle is equipped with the latest all-electric innovation: vehicle-to-load (V2L) functionality. Taking your crew to a tailgate party? You can use your Ioniq 5 to power speakers, a hotdog oven, or even a light show for a game-winning celebration. The Ioniq 5 can also play a role when it comes to camping and fishing trips, powering spotlights for cooking and set up, or working as a power source for movies under the stars. Charging your devices on the move is a given nowadays, but the Ioniq 5 goes even further.

2022 Hyundai Ioniq 5 FAQ
According to the manufacturer, all 2022 Ioniq 5 models have an electronically-governed maximum speed of 115 mph, when new and fully charged. In terms of acceleration, you'll love the instant torque, which gives you a zero-to-60 time of just 5.2 seconds (also when new).
The SEL and Limited trim Ioniq 5 models are equipped with Hyundai's Highway Driving Assist 2 (HDA 2), which includes several driver assistance aids (such as lane-keep assist), that are considered to be partial driver automation features, or at a Level 2 in the scale of vehicle autonomy.
The 2022 Ioniq 5 has four models. The SE Standard Range with a 58 kWh battery and the SE model with the 77 kWh battery option—but otherwise the same standard features. Then there's the mid-range SEL trim, which gains more passenger comforts and driver assistance technology. The range-topping Limited trim completes the lineup.

Interior details
Seating five passengers in roomy comfort, the 2022 Ioniq 5 is a crossover SUV that truly shines where it matters. Slimline front seats make way for more second-row legroom (39.4-inches) and the available driver relaxation function offers leg support for those road-trip rest-stop naps. Cloth upholstery comes standard, with leatherette finishing standard on higher trims. The 60/40 rear-row has a reclining backrest, accessible USB ports, and cup holders, available via the fold-down center armrest. Available cabin upgrades include a panoramic vision roof and rear side-window sunshades on the Limited trim.
Cargo space is useful, with 27.2 cu-ft behind the second row, expanding to 59.3 cu-ft behind the front row when the second row is folded down.
Child seat details
The 2022 Ioniq 5 has two complete sets of LATCH connectors (two lower anchors and an upper tether) in the second row's outboard seats and a third upper tether for the second-row center seat. The lower anchors are clearly indicated and easy to reach between the seat cushion and seat back. The upper tethers are found to the rear of the seatback and are easily identifiable.
All seat types are accommodated, and given the roomy cabin, the Ioniq 5 can fit up to three seats. The front-row seats are easily adjusted and are unlikely to be impacted by your seated younger passengers.
Performance
This all-electric crossover has plenty of power to take you further. The base trim model—the SE Standard Range—is powered by a 58 kWh lithium-ion polymer battery and a 168 hp rear-wheel drive motor. Upgrade to the SE, SEL, or Limited trims for a 77.4 kWh battery paired to a 225 hp single motor, also with RWD. For the SE trim and above, all-wheel drive and 320 hp dual electric motors are an available option.
Choosing the right range capability for your electric vehicle is a big decision and the 2022 Ioniq 5 has three options for you. When fully charged, the SE Standard Range can go for 220 miles and offers an EPA-estimated 110 MPGe combined.
The other available trims, when equipped with the 77.4 kWh battery and RWD, can achieve a total EPA-estimated range of 303 miles under the same conditions, while the AWD version (with the same battery pack and dual electric motors) offers up to an EPA-estimated 256 miles of range on a single charge.
While the AWD models lose some range, they make up for that with impressive acceleration figures. In Hyundai's own testing, when new, the AWD Ioniq 5 (boasting 446 lb-ft of torque) can go from zero to 60 in just 5.2 seconds. All 2022 Ioniq 5 models have a top speed of 115 mph. When properly equipped, the SE, SEL, and Limited trims (with the 77.4 kWh battery) can tow up to an estimated 1,650 lbs.
The 2022 Ioniq 5 can support multiple charging voltages and comes equipped with fast-charging functionality. When connected to a 350 kW charging station, the Ioniq 5 can build up its charge from 10 percent to 80 percent in around 18 minutes, with just five minutes adding around 68 miles of range, making it ideal for any time-sensitive work journeys you need to make. Charging overnight at home with a level two charger takes under seven hours for a full recharge.
