Infiniti Q70
The largest and most luxurious sedan from Infiniti, sitting above the two-door Q60 and the smaller Q50 until it was discontinued after the 2019 model year. Available in standard- and extended-length Q70L, the big sedan offered a roomy cabin, though with no major changes since its introduction, it was starting to show its age. The seats were quite comfortable with soft leather trim and solid support, and opting for the Q70L brought an additional 5.6 inches of rear-seat legroom. Two trims were available, but the only difference between them was the engine: The Q70 3.7 Luxe had a V6, while the Q70 5.6 Luxe had a V8. A hybrid was also available and is covered separately.

First generation Infiniti Q70
In a time when Infiniti still offered four-door sedans, the Q70 was the flagship of the brand’s lineup. When it arrived in 2014, it wasn’t so much new as it was a renaming of the Infiniti M sedan, available in standard- and long-wheelbase versions. With a roomy cabin that seats up to five passengers, the Q70 offered luxury amenities such as semi-aniline leather seats, White Ash wood trim, an eight-inch display with navigation, and an air purification system. Noticeably absent are Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™.
Two engines were initially available: a 3.7-liter V6 and a 5.6-liter V8, the latter delivering a robust 420 horsepower. Both engines were teamed with a seven-speed automatic transmission and were available with rear or all-wheel drive. Infiniti also offered the Q70 with a 3.5-liter V6 hybrid powertrain that got a respectable 33 mpg on the highway while still putting out 360 horsepower.

RepairPal gave the Infiniti Q70 an overall reliability rating of 4 out of 5 stars, which RepairPal describes as Excellent. This rating ranks Infiniti Q70 1st out of 48 among Luxury Fullsize Cars.
RepairPal reports that the average total annual cost for repairs and maintenance on a Infiniti Q70 is $509, compared to an average of $725 for Luxury Fullsize Cars and $591 for all the vehicles RepairPal considered in its dataset.
According to RepairPal, Infiniti Q70 owners bring their vehicles into a repair shop for unscheduled repairs an average of 0.7 times per year, compared to an average of 1.7 times for Luxury Fullsize Cars and 1.3 times for all the vehicles RepairPal considered in its dataset.
