2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee L review

1. Two engine options 

On the 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee L, you can choose between two powertrain options. Under the hood of the Laredo, Altitude, and Limited trims is a 3.6L 293-horsepower V6, which offers 260 lb-ft of torque and can tow an estimated 6,200 lbs, when properly equipped.

 On the higher-end Summit and Overland trims, you'll find a more muscular 5.7L 357-horsepower V8 engine, which bumps up the towing capacity to an estimated 7200 lbs, when properly equipped. 

2. Off-road capabilities 

As a luxury midsize SUV, the 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee L can manage a variety of road conditions. With an eight-speed automatic transmission on all models, you can choose between rear-wheel (Altitude, Laredo) and all-wheel (Summit, Overland, Limited) drive. In fact, there are three unique all-wheel drive systems available on the Grand Cherokee L, along with air suspension to provide extra ground clearance, depending on the trim. 

3. Stylish comfort 

On the 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee L, luxury is also practical. Seats are upholstered with leather, while the trim and paneling are designed with open-pore wood. Perhaps most notably, the front seats come with massage capability on select trims. Add to that the Grand Cherokee L's formidable front grille and alloy wheels, and you're in for a smooth, relaxing ride whatever the distance. 

4. Entertainment for everyone 

In the center console of the 2024 Jeep Gran Cherokee L is a 10.1-inch touchscreen console. Enjoy easy device integration, whether through Apple Carplay^®, Andriod Auto^™, or Bluetooth^® connectivity. Plus, while the Laredo and Limited trims come with a six-speaker stereo system as standard, you can look out for a nine-speaker Alpine® audio setup or a high-end 19-speaker McIntosh^® arrangement. 

5. Roomy interior 

As a midsize SUV, the 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee L offers one thing that its sister models do not: an extra row of seating. With captain's chairs up front and an optional second-row bench seat, there's space for seven if needed. And that doesn't mean everyone's packed to the gills: In the second row there's 39.4 inches of leg room, and another 30.3 inches in the third row.
