2024 Chevrolet Blazer review

1. Choice of two turbocharged engines 

Two engine options are available for the 2024 Chevrolet Blazer, with base models up to the Premier trim packing a 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder engine as standard. And with 228 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque on tap, it’s plenty nippy enough for accelerating in and out of traffic in the city. However, if you want a bit more power, a 3.6L turbocharged V6 engine is available on 3LT and Premier trims, and comes standard on the top-line RS trim. Output is bumped up to a muscular 306 horsepower and 270 lb-ft of torque, plenty enough to liven up any journey and eat up the miles on the highway.   

2. Dynamic and fun driving experience 

The 2024 Blazer is a midsize SUV intentionally designed to resemble its muscle car stablemates — it's all angular lines and sharp styling on the outside. Once you get behind the wheel, you’ll find it does a pretty good job of driving like one, too. The punchy engine options are complemented by sharp and agile steering, especially for a vehicle of this size and type. Additionally, all-wheel-drive is an option across the range, and on the RS trim, this system is matched with a torque-vectoring system, helping you accelerate out of the corners as dynamically as possible.  

3. Comfortable interior 

While the 2024 Chevrolet Blazer has the kind of power and handling to make any journey that bit more exciting, it ultimately still provides the kind of comfort and smooth ride you would want from a midsize SUV like this. There’s seating for five inside, with 41 inches of front seat legroom and 39.6 inches of rear seat legroom. Heated front seats are included as standard, with leather upholstery offered on 3LT trims upwards and heated rear outboard seats present in the Enhanced Convenience package on Premier and RS trims.  

4. Generous feature list full of tech options 

The aforementioned creature comforts are only a small part of what is a lengthy feature list on the 2024 Chevrolet Blazer. If you like tech, there’s a lot for you to enjoy here. Standard models get a 10-inch infotainment touchscreen, Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ integration, and four USB ports. A wireless smartphone charging pad is offered in the Convenience package for 2LT trims, with 3LT trims equipped with the Sound & Technology package including a rear camera mirror to aid with reverse visibility and a 360 surround-view camera system to assist with parking.  

5. Numerous driver convenience technologies  

For peace of mind when driving even in tight or busy urban environments, the 2024 Chevrolet Blazer also offers a full selection of driver convenience features up and down the range. Forward collision warning and lane-keeping assistance are included with every 2024 Blazer, and base 2LT models can be found with other package options. The Convenience package comes with enhanced automatic emergency braking and adaptive cruise control, and the Driver Confidence package is kitted out with blind-spot warning with rear cross-traffic alert, as well as rear parking sensors.
