The RDX keeps it sweet and simple
The 2024 Acura RDX is a basic SUV for people who prioritize simplicity when choosing a vehicle. That’s not to say the RDX hasn’t got features; it comes with a variety of driver-assist functions and a few nice-to-haves, such as a panoramic sunroof and leather seats. The add-on package options available also extend the possibilities. At its core, though, the 2024 Acura RDX is an easy getting-around car without too many bells and whistles.

5 reasons to buy the 2024 Acura RDX
1. A touch of class
The 2024 RDX may be one of Acura’s more basic SUVs, but it’s still an Acura — and that means it comes with a few upscale touches elevating it into luxury SUV territory. Its sleek exterior styling boasts a black diamond pentagon grille, forked dragon tail LED taillights, and rectangular exhaust finishers. Inside, memory foam front seats, a panoramic moonroof, and a suite of driver-assist features including lane keeping, pedestrian detection, and collision mitigation put refined comfort center stage.
2. Precise steering and handling
Acura has embraced SH-AWD, or Super Handling All-Wheel Drive. This uses sensors to detect variable conditions that allow the vehicle to alter its clutch engagement and redistribute power in an instant. The 2024 RDX SH-AWD hinges on torque vectoring; in short, the system can send up to 70% of engine torque to the rear wheels and 100% of that torque to a single wheel. That gives drivers better handling, cornering, and overall control in bad weather and on difficult terrain.
3. Upgrade packages to look out for
The 2024 Acura RDX comes with feature-packed add-on packages offering something for everyone. The Technology Package, for instance, introduces a 12-speaker ELS Studio premium audio system, LED multi-color cabin lighting system, wireless charging pad, and GPS-linked climate control. The Advance Package, meanwhile, offers everything in the Technology Package plus heated and ventilated front seats with lumbar support and thigh extenders, heated rear seats, and wood accents.
4. Impressive connectivity suite
The 2024 Acura RDX’s infotainment system makes it virtually impossible to have car-smartphone compatibility problems. It comes with Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ connectivity, Bluetooth® compatibility, Siri Eyes Free, and Amazon Alexa integration, plus a conventional aux jack. A fun feature is a speed-sensitive volume compensation solution, which adjusts audio loudness based on your speed (and therefore the relative engine and road noise).
5. Great for families
The 2024 Acura RDX can comfortably seat five, with a rear seat cup holder that folds up as needed. The 29.5 cu-ft of trunk volume is good for picking up groceries on the way home from work or packing up for a day at the beach. And the leatherette seats are easy to wipe clean — perfect for those always-sticky hands.
