Love my Acura RDX!

I initially drove a 2004 Acura MDX until I sold it with 215,000 miles on it. I was looking for another Acura, and came across the RDX. The 2012 has a 4-cylinder turbo engine, while 2013 and newer has a 6-cylinder. It drives amazingly! You hardly notice a turbo lag (in fact, my family didn't when they drove it). Its luxurious and looks great on the road. The sport mode is fun to drive in. My three complaints with the car are lack of space (compact SUV, very different from the larger MDX), the gas mileage (maybe 18 mpg), and the interior color (as I got it from Carmax, changing the black interior to a lighter color wasn't an option). However, I think it is a great, more affordable version of the MDX that is super fun to drive!

Love my RDX!

This car is sporty and stylish. It runs smoothly and I enjoy driving it. It fits my active lifestyle and will be great for one child when we decide to have one! The seats are comfortable and I like how its a good size, enough to carry things, but not too large. We added a bike rack and love it. It also has good power for a CUV, definitely gets up and goes! Although I wasn't used to the gas mileage, since I had been driving a car, and the premium gas and insurance went up, I'd say it's worth it.

Pros

  • Interior Space: Roomy for a CUV
  • Seat Comfort: Very comfortable and high quality leather
  • Power: Gets up and goes

Luxury feel and finish without spending $50K

I really like my RDX and I'm happy I've bought it. The car's lines, trim, fit and finish are all excellent. The ride is comfortable and quiet, and the sound system is good. Fuel economy is about what you'd expect for a small SUV - high teens in town, mid twenties on the road. In terms of technology (I did get the tech package) it's top of the line. I still haven't figured out all of the bells and whistles, but it's a well designed and user-friendly console that is fairly intuitive. I would recommend it to a friend.

Pros

  • Interior Space: Roomy
  • Reliability: Good safety and reliability with the Acura line
  • Value: A great value for those of us who choke a little on BMW and Audi prices, but still want a nicer than average vehicle
